Philosophy classroom: Ethics class #4, Monday, 2-4pm

"Today's topic is power and responsibility, and I would like to remind you all that your grade comes from your discussion, not your presence. If you don't feel comfortable talking, write something down and hand it in to me. Being a silent warm body in the classroom is no different than not turning up."

[ooc: And I would remind you that I leave posts open for the whole week. If you post 'shows up and takes a seat' I know you're still alive, but you need to actually address the discussion topics to pass the class.]

"Depends on how much you think your students like lace."

Tara nearly drops the box.

"You didn't."

Angelus merely smiles innocently.

Casting a sidelong glance at the room, Tara's fingers twitch. Sitting down at her desk, she puts the box into her lap where it cannot be seen from the students' chairs, and unties the ribbon, blushing furiously.

Angelus watched as Tara unwrapped a bustier, g-string, and garter belt all made of lace and of a deep plum color. "Hope they fit. It's hard to judge size when - " he mimed holding a round object in his hand. Sure, it could have been a grapefruit, but who are we kidding? " - I don't have firsthand experience."

Shane watches the exchange with a faintly amused quirk to her lips as she taps her pen on the desk, long legs crossed at the ankles as she slouches in her seat.

Tara looks at Angelus. She looks at Shane. She looks back at Angelus. She puts the garments back in the box.

"Thank you," she says to Angelus, mortified beyond all possible belief. "This was very thoughtful of you. And, um, pass on my thanks to Darla as well. I'll let you know how they're, um, received, on Friday's class."

Putting the lid back on the box, she drops it on Shane's desk.

And goes to the Emo Closet for a moment. A private moment.

Craning her neck, Shane watches Tara as she goes and then opens the box, taking a peek inside before closing it again. Sitting back in her seat, she looks at Angelus and chuckles, shaking her head. "Do all the TA's in this school buy their teachers lace underwear?" She asks.

"Only the very good ones," Angelus replied. "Shame I didn't think to ask you before I left. I could've taken a request for your own personal preferences."

"I don't have any," Shane murmurs good-naturedly, letting her hand rest near the box, fingertip tapping on the lid. "Just skin is more than enough for me."

"Should try lace," Angelus suggested. "It adds a certain something. Friction, for instance."

Angelus grinned. "Anytime, teach."
