Having no idea how to help other people deal with grief (her usual method of dealing with it is either to scream about how everybody else is going to die from nuclear holocaust or to shoot something), Sarah has left every possibly comfortingly cliche thing she can think of on her desk -- teddy bears, tissues, chocolate, etc. Also, in addition to the puppies, now there's a basketful of kittens for cuddling.

Meanwhile, Sarah has fallen asleep in her chair. Let it never be said that Sarah can't find a way to avoid having teenagers that aren't hers cry on her shoulders.

"Not anymore," Krycek says, dropping his bag on the ground beside a desk. He looks at the cake, eyes widening slightly. "Dammit, I'm never going get away from the frog thing, am I?"

Duce says solemnly, "We considered having Kiki turn you into one.. but thought Jake would maybe have other plans for your non-amphibious self." She grins evilly, "Although, watching him kiss you and turn you back into a prince would have been funny!"

She gestures at the cake, "Eat! Eat! How you ever gonna gets youself a husband, you so skinny! Eat!"

"...Kiss a frog?" Jake blinks, then tilts his head to contemplate Krycek. "...Well, maybe. If that was the result."

Krycek grins at Jake, moving to dish up cake for the four of them to start. "I think I'll skip the frog-related hijinks and just make plans with Jake."

Jake grins back. "I'm actually quite okay with that. Speaking of, my place or yours tonight?"

Duce merely smirks, munching her cake.

Krycek holds out a plate for Jake, still grinning. "Depends. Do you think we're going to wake up the neighbors or should we just go torture Logan?"

Taking the plate, Jake considers it. "...Well, torturing Logan is always fun.."

"Not as much fun as whatever you'd be doing to wake up the neighbors, I imagine," Chloe says, taking a piece of cake.

Duce wisely keeps her mouth occupied with some cake.

She does, however, smirk.

Widely.

"Dirty minds," Krycek chides both girls, waving his fork in their direction. "He snores."

Jake arches an eyebrow back at him. "That would be more convincing if I wasn't a shapeshifter, you realise?" He seems amused by the girls' reactions.

"That would also be more convincing if you hadn't said 'we're going to wake up the neighbors,'" Chloe points out, grinning. "You will never convince me that you don't do more than snore at each other."

Kiki laughs heartily and helps herself to a slice of cake.

"I already sang it once," Kiki says, "So I think I'll pass on leading a second chorus of 'Happy Birthday.'"

Duce nods, "We've foregone the singing in favor of teasing the boys more.. "

"As per usual?" Krycek has another bite of cake, seeming not at all put out about the teasing.

"You have to get teased on your birthday. It's another guideline. Really." Chloe smirks, covering it with a bite of cake.

"Also tradition," Kiki chimes in.

Duce nods solemnly, "Besides. If we were nice to you, you'd be all paranoid and think we were up to something."

Krycek snorts, but concedes the point. "So what are your birthdays?" He eyes the group. "Because if I have to put up with this on my birthday, you all have to suffer as well."

"I'm sure we'll bear the humiliation tolerably," answers Kiki. "Mine's not until March."

Chloe chokes a little on her cake. Damn, she hadn't thought of that. "I don't have a birthday. It's against my religion," she says. At Krycek's incredulous look, she rolls her eyes, sighing. "Fine. It's next Friday, actually."

Duce says solemnly, "Gorgon. We are the bornless ones."

"Your mother would probably argue that point," he says to Duce, with a look at Chloe that says he's noted that fact and will make sure things are repaid accordingly. "So come on, what is it?"
