Having no idea how to help other people deal with grief (her usual method of dealing with it is either to scream about how everybody else is going to die from nuclear holocaust or to shoot something), Sarah has left every possibly comfortingly cliche thing she can think of on her desk -- teddy bears, tissues, chocolate, etc. Also, in addition to the puppies, now there's a basketful of kittens for cuddling.

Meanwhile, Sarah has fallen asleep in her chair. Let it never be said that Sarah can't find a way to avoid having teenagers that aren't hers cry on her shoulders.

Rory wanders in, eyes red, and takes a seat by Logan.

"Hi," she says, pulling a book out of her bag. She glances over at his notebook. "What're you working on?"

Logan leans over and kisses her on the forehead. "Party this weekend. It's way too depressing around here."

Rory stares at him, her mouth slightly open.

"You're planning a party? She died and you're planning a party?"

Logan puts his hand over hers. "I'm not celebrating her death!" he says hastily. "It's just - there's more to life than mourning. There's celebrating the fact that we're still alive. Hell, there's celebrating the fact that she lived in the first place."

Rory's expression softens slightly. "Okay...I get that, I guess," she acquiesces. "How are you going to handle the people who don't, though?"

Logan shrugs. "They don't have to come."

Rory shakes her head. "No, Logan...people are going to be really mad about this unless you make your intentions clear. Maybe you should have an area at the party itself for people who actually want to grieve or something. That might make it a little less difficult for people to understand."

"Not really my thing, but if you want to organize it, I'm cool with that," Logan says.

Rory thoughtfully chews on the tip of her pen.

"Is there anywhere in the house or outside that we could set aside with...I don't know, candles and a place to kind of mourn Kitty without being interrupted? Far enough away from the actual party that people won't feel awkward or annoyed or anything?"

Logan nods. "Maybe at the pond? Behind my room?"

Rory nods. "That could work. I just don't want to offend people, y'know? So make sure you make that clear on any flyers or whatever."

Logan nods. He hands her a Post-It note. "Write whatever you want it to say, and I'll add that to the flyer."

Rory looks at the Post-It, and, sighing, scribbles a note about a serious grieving area.

"I've become one of you, now," she says with an arched brow as she hands it back to him.
