There's a small sign on Spider's desk, reading "Gone to Professor Dream's class. Please spend today's class hour discussing print media vs televised or internet media and which you prefer."

Duce returns to the table with a mug of coffee for Alex. Pushing it into one of his free hands, she slumps back into a chair, crossing her arms over the back and grinning smugly.

Nodding to Jake, he takes the coffee with a grateful glance for Duce. "Sure. We can take a look at sharing whatever Phoebe was supposed to be doing."

Sipping at his coffee, looking between the two of them, he snorts at their smug, satisfied expressions. "You two are horrible people," he says calmly.

Duce looks beatific, "Yes. We're awful. We make you smile, and that totally destroys your image as a heartless, seething bastard."

Reaching over, she tussles Alex's hair, "But it's so fun!"

While the three talk, Chihaya gathers up his books and slips out the door.

"It really is," Jake agrees. He swings his legs, kicking his heels against the table legs. He grins at Duce. "Wasn't expecting it so soon, though." He turns his head when Chihaya leaves and waves after him. "Remember study hall!"

Duce smirks, "Serves him right for not telling." She looks mock-solemnly at Alex, "There are a few things that are obligatory boyfriend knowledge. Your contact information, whether you have any psychotic exes who are liable to boil a bunny in your kitchen, common food allergies, favored position during sex, your full name no matter how embarassing, and when your birthday is."

She ticks them off on her fingers, "And we think we missed one..can't think of what it is, though."

Jake gives her fingers a surprised look. "Really? There are rules?"

Duce sits up straight, "OH! And whether you have any communicable diseases!"

She nods at Jake. "Totally. There are some things partners should just know, y'know? There's also a list of things that are uncool to do. But they're more like guidelines, really. Mostly it's a way to not make the other person unhappy. Or.. to keep yourself from the spiteful revenge of someone once you've made them unhappy."

"Communicable diseases? Sounds like I hit a good point in the conversation." Chloe grins at the presents on the table. "And it looks like I'm not the only one celebrating a certain someone's birthday." She gives Krycek a little smack on the back of the head, laughing. "I hope you liked the door decorations. You should have told me sooner!"

"That was you?" Jake says, delighted. "I loved that!"

Duce smiles, amused, "And one of the boyfriend guidelines says you," she points at Jake, "are supposed to kiss him," points at Krycek, "now. Presents have been opened. You're supposed to wish him a happy birthday and kiss him."

She winks at Chloe.

Chloe smirks, winking back at Duce. "And if you want him to have a very happy birthday, you should kiss him with tongue. That's a footnote to the guideline."

Xander totally doesn't second that motion. Nope. The prospect of witnessing same does not make him feel twitchy and uncomfortable, or give one of those little, 'Heh... no really, heh' laughs from the seat he's chosen nearby. Must've come from somebody else.

Giving both Duce and Chloe bemused looks, he rubs at the back of his head where he got smacked. "No diseases, you harpies. Jesus, I just didn't think it was important." He looks a bit taken aback by all the attention - one would think he's never had anyone make a fuss over his birthday before. Managing a smile to take the sting out of his words, he shrugs. "Anyway, Jake doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to." He looks at Jake, just making sure he knows it is okay, really, he won't be offended.

Jake looks back, blinking, then grins. "Hey, dude, if it's in the rules... Wouldn't want to break the rules. Who knows what might happen?" He jumps off the desk and takes the step over to Krycek, pausing in front of him. "Happy birthday," he says, then slides his arms around Krycek's waist, carefully pushing the hand with the coffee out of the way. His mouth opens as he meets Krycek's, after all, Chloe had said there should be tongue for a happy birthday...

Meeting Jake with a sudden, pleased grin, he nearly drops the coffee before he slides it onto a desk and focuses his attention on this next present.

He kisses Jake back without reservation, one hand slipping around his waist as the other moves to rest at the back of Jake's neck, pulling him a little closer. There's definitely tongue, so it must be a very happy birthday indeed.

Chloe practically beams as she watches them and totally memorizes this moment for recall later *cough*, letting them kiss quietly for a few moments before clapping. "Now that's a proper birthday kiss."

Duce joins in the applause, and grins at Chloe, "Think we could get them to do it again when we drag Alex to Study Hall later?"

And stage whispers, "And think we can get Spider to release the recording of this class?"

"I certainly hope so," Chloe says, looking back and forth between Duce and the boys. "On both counts."
