The Library Is Open (11/3/05)

Janet dragged herself from Criminal Justice to the library, unlocked it, and tried to decide if she felt like working today sat down behind the Collections Desk. She started checking in books very, very slowly.

"So we chalk up one missing person as having wandered into Special Collections and never wandered out again? Yes, yes he did."

"Pretty much." Parker doesn't look too disturbed. "Maybe it turned him into a happy newt? Or sent him to Narnia?" She stops spinning, looking caught by the idea. "I would *love* that."

"The Reign of the Four Siblings, I think. A couple years after the White Queen bites it." Parker leans back, looking at the ceiling as she spins. "A second Golden Age, yadda. I'd love to sail to Cair Paravel. What gets me?" She straightens up. "With this place, it's not impossible."

"Gracious, Parker. I don't think I've ever seen you this... perky. I may have to go away for another week if it puts you in this good of a mood."

"Bite your tongue. I'm not *perky*. Merely chipper. If I'm not playing, I'm not cheering."

"I'm fighting the encroaching cloud of emo that's in the offing." Parker grinned evilly. "Hey, if you want to leave us in charge, we're good with that. We'd miss your shiny face and other parts though."

"I tremble and quake at the idea of you being in charge," Methos says calmly. "Although I think Janet broke my mug on purpose, and that was a gift, damnit. Want to help me get her back?"

Parker's grin turns wicked. "Are we going to deprive her of caffiene? I'm bitter about giving it up, so that would be just fine."

"I'd prefer to do something to her that does not directly cause us grief, thanks. I don't know about you, but I don't want to have to deal with her uncaffeinated."

"Then you're on your own, Doc." Parker smirks and reaches for another book. "Library Aides have to stick together, and she got stuck with last week's clean-up. If I'm not depriving the world of caffiene, you'll have to avenge yourself alone."
