Shop Class #6

Apparently one of the emitters is the problem as he has it disassembled and the parts are scattered across the desk.

Mac looks up from his work with a sad look on his face.

"I know all of you have probably heard about Kitty Pryde. I don't know how well you all knew her or not, but Dean Bristow has asked all the faculty members to devote some class time to talk about her death with everyone in an open format. I'll leave that up to you on how much you want to participate."

"First let me tell you all how much I enjoyed your essays on duct tape. I like them so much I'm assigning another essay while I fix this emitter. The topic today is Swiss Army Knives, and their wonder ability to do almost anything. That will be a in-class 100 word essay due before the end of the period."

((OOC: I will be AFK until late tonight. Please don't blow anything up while I'm gone. Otherwise detention will be involved. Or worse.))

Swiss Army knives are the single most useful tool this backwater has come up with. They have numerous useful parts, although the scissors leave something to be desired when snipping bomb wires.

The big blade is the most commonly used, followed by the bottle-opener/can-opener. Then the scissors. I like the screwdriver and wire-stripper too, and the little light is nice. Not sure about the toothpick.

The class will undoubtedly be using both the saw blade and the other screwdriver blades as the year progresses. It’s a handy little gadget and I’m looking into one of my own for real use.
