The Library is open (11/2/2005)

Parker is trying to organize the books alphabetically, but keeps getting distracted by the ones which have photos of Bali, Tahiti, the Greek Isles, and Hawaii.

Elizabeth sighed as she dug in her bag for the books. "I was," she said. "Professor Dream really helped. But, then I heard something last night, which has thrown me again."

"If it's what I think you heard, I completely understand." Parker's smile is frayed around the edges. "I'm glad he could help for a while, anyway. I've been hanging onto... well, a security blanket he gave me, like it's soldered to my hand."

"Is there really anything else that could be that disturbing going around?" Elizabeth asks, sighing. She half-smiles. "I've been clinging to a stuffed dog. Not quite the same as the one I had in my childhood, but it's close enough."

Contract. I was on squallin' contract. We looked 'em up, an' mine is different from yours an' Janet's. An' signed in blood. Which is not my fault, it was sittin' out on the desk when I got here, even though Professor Pierson says he didn' put it there.

Also, I didn' originally sign it in blood, I signed it in pen, but that's a whole other level of freaky.

I noticed. It's like I'm not just a library aide, I'm the library's assistant. Does that make any sense? It makes me really squallin' mad, but I don' think there's much I can do.

Yeah, I'm tryin' to avoid goin' about attackin' the students wit' the mallet, so that'd be a swerval idea.
