Study Hall -- Wednesday, November 2nd

Sarah's at the front desk, staring blankly as she leans over a notebook and clutches her head. Her mind seems to be elsewhere, and it's probably a bad idea to talk to her.

The puppies are back, sleeping in the basket in front of the desk and available for people to cuddle for comfort.

Draco is excited that the puppies are back. He picks one up and takes it to his usual seat. He lets it sleep in his lap. He should really convince his mother to let him get a puppy.

He props a book up on the desk and scratches behind the puppy's ear while he reads.

Phoebe is happy to see that the puppies are back.

She grabs the one she usually plays with and takes it to the back of the room.

Belthazor came into study hall and took a seat, watching the door each time someone came in.

"Seraphim and Valkyrie are going to be jealous if they smell puppy all over you," Cole teased Phoebe.

Phoebe grinned.

"As soon as I can figure out how to take them to classes with me, they won't have anything to be jealous of."

"Maybe you should take Cat with Professor Dream next semester so you can learn to talk to them," Cole suggested.

Paige walks in mid afternoon, after working at the museum, she picks up the puppy she usually pets and sitting at a table keeps an eye out for, well anyone really.

Phoebe wrinkled her nose at him. "I don't want to turn into a cat, though."

Cole resisted making the obvious crude joke. "I don't think I'd like that, either," he said. "I prefer my girlfriends Phoebe-shaped."

Phoebe grins. "I prefer to be Phoebe-shaped because her boyfriend is wonderfully Cole-shaped."

Sonia lifts one of the puppies from the basket, nuzzling the soft fur around its neck. When she sees Paige, she grins and waves, then walks over to talk to the girl.

Paige smiles "hey Sonia, did you make it to the ball?"

Sonia takes a seat next to Paige and readjusts her grip on the puppy.

"Yeah, I did, but I vos...really late. I think everyone had left by the time I got there."

She pauses, then smiles and laughs. "I did get to dance vith Ludvig, though, and we didn't step on each other's toes, so I guess it vosn't a total loss. You were there earlier- how vos it?"

She smiles a little too widely for her liking, "it was...really good actually on a few counts. I had a really nice time with James and I got a date with Jonathan and erm I danced with Ludwig too. " she bites her lip and looks at Sonia "you don't mind do you? I mean it was obvious he was waiting for you, I was just like keeping him entertained."

Piper wanders into study hall and watches the puppies. They are a welcome distraction.

Sonia grins. "Wow, you had a full dance card!" She raises an eyebrow at Paige's question, though. "Mind? Vhy should I mind if you danced with him? Oh, I hope he vos nice to you."

[OOC: Demian got me through S7 and is helping me through S8 (though I skipped this week--- is Pheebs really pregnant?). I'm in the forums on and off, right now mstly off. My interest wanes the further we get from the Chris days, 'cause I'm shallow like that.]

Cole leaned over and gave Phoebe a quick kiss. Simple times like these it was easy to pretend they were a normal boy and a normal girl at a normal school.

[OOC: She's not pregnant, thank god. False alarm. I still foolishly hold on to hope that Cole will come back from limbo and knock her up. Then again, I also hold on to the hope that Phoebe will stop being self-absorbed, Piper will stop bitching, and Rose will start acting and stop flailing about. And that the writers would lay off the crack and get bitchslapped by poor abused Continuity. No, I'm not bitter, why do you ask?]
