NEWSPAPER MEETING

Note outside the cafeteria door:

For those who didn't see the edit, the newspaper crew meeting is now in the Journalism classroom.

William sits on one of the desks in the classroom, waiting a little anxiously for others to arrive. He holds onto his notebook tightly.

Phoebe wanders in, looking a bit mussed. Her hair is wild and there appears to be blood stains on her shirt.

"Sorry I'm late, there was an attack in the dorms. One of the bloody bastards bit me."

She slides into a seat near the door. "Did I miss anything?"

Veronica glances at Phoebe's disheveled appearance.

"Are you okay?"

Phoebe looks at Veronica. "Honestly? We don't know. See, we went into the common room to get Zero's stuff. However, the room was filled with green furry gremlins. Chloe and I helped keep them away from Hank, but as we were retreating, one of them bit me."

Phoebe sighed. "Andrers got bit earlier and well..." Phoebe blushes. "Let's just say his behaviour wasn't normal."

Veronica watches Phoebe warily.

"Do you think maybe we should take you to visit the school nurse?"

William eyes her uncertainly as well. "If 'wasn't normal' means what I think it does, then maybe."

Phoebe sighs and then looks to Chloe before looking back at William. "Hank doesn't want me left alone because he's afraid I may start acting weird...like running through the school without my clothes weird."

"Well, I think we'll be able to stop you before you get too many clothes off. There's enough of us here that we can take you," Chloe says, only half teasing.

Phoebe smiled at Chloe in something akin to relief. "Thanks. Also, please do not let Hank quarantine me with Anders like he wants to do?"

Chloe makes a face and nods quickly. "Don't worry, we can keep you perfectly safe and under observation without putting you in with Anders."

"You're welcome to crash in our room tonight if your roommates aren't around," Veronica offers, still giving Phoebe concerned glances.

Phoebe looks at Veronica and Chloe and smiles. "You two are my new best friends," she says with relief clear in her eyes. "The thought of...especially since he doesn't want to wear..." Phoebe shakes her head. "I don't think I would survive that."

Veronica glances at Chloe.

"Do you think maybe we should take her back now? Just in case?"

Chloe nods. "That might be a good idea. I know I could use a good rest." She looks at Phoebe. "Is that all right with you?"

"Bit you?" Spider extended the bottle. "Take two swallows of this and pour a bit over any open wounds." He grinned suddenly. "I can't guarantee it'll do any good, but at least you'll be feeling no pain."

Phoebe took his bottle and took two long drinks and then poured some of it over the bite wounds.

"Hank and Zero are worried about me doing anything weird because of their attack."

She handed the bottle back to him.

...how did you get away from Hank?

Phoebe looks at Zero.

"I just walked out."

Yeah, okay, the way he was focused on Anders' stats I can see that.

We don't know for sure that I'm going to flip out...do we?

Well, you saw Anders, right?

*snerk*

No joy on finding a doctor or nurse. Or Miss Sidle.

I'm heading back to 201, are you watching Phoebe?

We got her back from the newspaper meeting. I think. She should be back up there by now.

"We're going to publish the paper on Mondays," William says. "So we have weekends to put it together. Haven't decided anything beyond that."
