Free food provided

Angelus is inside, looking as though there's a great deal on his mind and as though there's a high likelihood that his distraction has something to do with the travel plans that are scattered across his desk (anyone peeking would see London, Paris, and Rome listed on his notes). On Dr. Carter's desk is a box of fudge nut brownies from Deb's. The door to the classroom is wide open.

"Good point," Angelus glanced up at the ceiling towards nothing in particular as well. He looked back at Medusa, speaking more carefully. "You know, Logan suggested card games at his house. Perhaps he might like to invite us all for Thanksgiving dinner too. I'll ask him."

Duce shakes her head, "The thought is a good one, but I was thinking somewhere off the island entirely."

She looks at Angelus and says solemnly, "I'm really freaked about the thought of staying here when all my friends and half the staff will be off-island. It may be my paranoia talking, but I'd feel very easily cut off, on this side of the bridge. That's why I'm planning to stay at my aunt's house. She doesn't have any family, so I'm sure she'd be willing to open her home for an 'orphans dinner'."

"Been a while since I've visited my home dimension," Angelus said, watching Duce carefully for a signal that he was getting it right. "Should go back, visit the family who's not here in town."

Duce nods complacently, "Yeah.. I suppose you really aren't the type to sit down to a turkey dinner. You said you're going home this coming week? Might want to let your mom know you might need a permission slip or parental pick-up for the holidays. I'd expect the Dean will insist on something of the sort to prevent kids from forging anything and getting in trouble. The sad fact is, when we're not with our parents or guardians, he's responsible for us and it's his ass on the line if we get hurt. The minute we're returned to our guardian's care, however, his hands are washed of us."

"So my general plan was to stay with my aunt Wednesday and Thursday, and head out for Vegas on Friday, spend a few days chatting up Sigfried and Roy and ogling their kitties, maybe take a few pictures, and head back. It was awfully nice of you to let me travel with you guys even though I'm not in your club. I'm fairly certain my father would've had a coronary if I hadn't explained to him that it was travel arrangements only."

"I'll be sure to tell my mom," Angelus said. "Being Communist European types, we're not much for the turkey, but that means we can just start on the family bonding that much sooner."
