Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III

The lawn in front of the school was a little bigger than it had been at picnics in the past (thank you, people with positive memories), so there was plenty of space for the blue and gold tables and chairs that got pulled out for every event. A bonfire had been lit in the middle of the lawn, for those who weren't quite prepared for the east coast in December, and there were tables set away from the crowd as well, for those who might want a more quiet place to sit.

It was a bit difficult to look dignified while being held by the back of your shirt, so Alex didn't even bother. "He's LOKI!" It was a way better point than 'he started it.'

"I don't care who's who, and I don't care who's fault it is," Cable said, dropping Alex. "This is my island. I will not have you two squabbling on it."

"You don't care that he's Loki?" Alex asked Cable, somewhere between scandalized and wounded. He looked up to you, Cable. You should know better.

Then he snapped at Loki, "Oh, what's the matter, is the list too long?"

"I care when he starts causing trouble."

Yeah, Alex, that was still a 'when'.

He slanted a look at Loki. "Save it," he said.

"He got my dad killed!" Alex pointed out. Not directly, and he'd gotten better, but still. "And he will! He will cause so much trouble! You know he will! The island will probably fall into the ocean!"

"I didn't do anything! You can't blame me for my elder-self's actions!" Loki insisted.

"This is Fandom," Cable said, his eyes focused on Alex. "Everyone gets a chance."

His eyes flicked to Loki. The left one flashed. "Once."

"Oh yes I can!"

Alex sighed. "Fine. Once." And then Alex would get to punch him more!

Loki turned away, not even giving Alex the respect of his attention. "I'm only here to attend school."

"Then attend," Cable said, his eyes sliding from one boy to the other. "But if I find out you've harmed anyone on this island, all bets are off."

And to Alex: "I'm sure you'll be keeping an eye on him."

Not that Cable wouldn't be, but sometimes you had to provide extra motivation to your troops.

With that, he turned to leave.

Then, narrowing his eyes at Loki, he threatened, "I will."

Loki rolled his eyes in a mature fashion, stomping away from the insane god. He was safer in Asgard, really now.
