Bod hadn't really wanted to leave Kansas (and Kate) but he'd been gone for last week's shift and didn't want to miss two in a row. He'd promised Kate he'd be back quickly but he was there now, checking in books and shelving them once the pile grew large enough.
His mood was much improved over yesterday and he did make a mental note to go apologize to the staff at Cafe Luke's before going back to Kansas. He hadn't been awful towards any of them but he wanted to make sure they knew that wasn't how he was going to be acting from now on.
It was a quiet, good day at the library.
