The School Campus, Saturday Noon
It was as if the Nothing had heard Principal Winchester's and Belle's announcement that morning. It smashed harder into the forcefield, which flickered but held its ground. Then it smashed into it again, and this time the flicker gave an inch of ground.
Soon, the forcefield was flickering constantly, sometimes budging, sometimes not, but one thing was clear: the Nothing was closing in, and whether it be five, ten, or fifteen minutes, campus was not going to hold.
It was time to move.
[[ ocd up and open! ]]

The Wrong Place, The Wrong Time

Re: The Wrong Place, The Wrong Time
Eventually, her survival instinct lost to the zerg instinct.
"I AM THE SWARM!" she bellowed at the Nothing.
The Nothing was not impressed. As it quickly demonstrated.
Re: The Wrong Place, The Wrong Time
He was counting his breaths as he went, Nana on his heels--
--and then she gained on him, accidentally slamming into his ankles. He went down to the ground, the forcefield blinked--
And then he was gone.
Re: The Wrong Place, The Wrong Time
Damnit, damnit, she'd wanted to be with her friends, hoped they'd realize what happened, didn't waste time worrying too long--
Nothing in front, nothing behind. She took a breath and faced the Nothing.
You can kill me but you don't. Scare. Me--
Re: The Wrong Place, The Wrong Time
So she was still in her room and about to get an object lesson in trusting in the Fandom weird when the Nothing came.
Re: The Wrong Place, The Wrong Time
A Telekinetic Burst failed to throw back the encroaching darkness, and Morrigan gritted her teeth before biting into her palm, teeth tearing away skin and blood welling up as she whispered the words that would let her draw power from her own lifeforce.
It was a working of Massive Magic, the way the Fade surged through her, answering her demands. Her skin cracked, veins of blue and red light pulsing and glowing as her humanity started to fade away in the presence of the powers she wielded.
That she managed not to die in the first few seconds was miracle enough. That Morrigan continued for another fifteen minutes after that would make even Flemeth proud of her daughter's work.
Blood Magic, however, has a cost, and there is only so far you may drain your own health before that price must be paid. Morrigan's eyes rolled back in her head as she fainted, and the Nothing surged forward before she even hit the ground, wiping her from the roof as if she'd never been there at all.
Top of the School
Top of the School - Support the Forcefield!
But a little magic could go a long way... and maybe the forcefield just needed another charge to stay up a little longer.
[[ anyone with magic powers is welcome to climb up onto the school and fire away at the Nothing or the forcefield; their efforts will sustain it a little longer. props go to

All Around the School - Escape!
Re: All Around the School - Escape!
Okay, she might have been keeping an eye out for stragglers, but you'd never get her to admit it.
Re: All Around the School - Escape!
And then down the stairs.
And then across the dorm grounds.
Not that he was very aware of anything right now beyond that: he hadn't slept a wink last night, half-terrified of the Nothing and half-paranoid that Professor Oz might have bombed his bed while he'd left for class, and, okay, slightly annoyed by Topher's invasion of his space.
So things were a little blurry, all in all.
Re: All Around the School - Escape!
As soon as he heard the announcement, as loathe as he was to sat foot in that bloody place, he was booking it towards the library.
Self-preservation was actually winning, today. Huh.
Re: All Around the School - Escape!
He'd packed up the little he'd brought to Fandom to being with and yesterday's Kwik Stop supplies before the announcement was made, so it was a simple matter of gathering them up and heading out. As he went, he kept an eye open to see if his temporary housemates -- or anyone else he knew -- were making the jaunt as well.

Yes, dice.
And then he flailed his way down the hall and a flight of stairs before abruptly remembering that he still had Tony's phone in his room somewhere, and ran back for it.
Yeah, it was pretty surprising the kid was still alive.
Re: All Around the School - Escape!
Alas, she had to leave the remains of her last ham behind. She sniffled as she hefted her bag to go. "I'll miss you, baby," she told it.
Then the force field started failing and Sam screamed and bolted.
Re: All Around the School - Escape!
This, of course, involved her usual show of dramatics.
"I'm not gonna make it!" she wailed at one point when her bag got stuck on some kind of thread and refused to wheel. "I'm just going to get eaten right here!"
But eventually she made it, albeit with only one of the bags. Weren't the other denizens of Special Collections lucky?
Re: All Around the School - Escape!
(He'd said it years ago: The three key words for any Slayer: preparation, preparation, preparation. Buffy had laughed, but look at him not get Nothinged now.)
Re: All Around the School - Escape!
A few minutes later, he had two pouches filled with sugar packets. That would have to do. With that, Bruce fired his grapple out the fifth floor window to the school building and used the cable as a zip line to make up some of the time he lost with his search.
Look, if he couldn't do that NOW of all times, when COULD he do it?

Re: All Around the School - Escape!
"C'mon, Lojack let's-"
Lojack barked and bolted out the door, not even bothering to wait for Jack.
"Hey! At least wait for me! So much for man's best friend."
