Things were, it seemed, growing more dire as time went on. And so William opened up the library a bit earlier than usual, made an extra-large pot of tea, and settled in for what he suspected would be a long day.

"Morning," Jack said, stopping by the desk. He hadn't used the library yet during this visit -- it felt an odd place for a graduate -- but it seemed to be where all of the action was.

Such as it was, anyhow.

"Have you found anything interesting yet?"

"Interesting, yes," Will admitted. "Relevant? Perhaps not." There had been plenty which seemed like it could be a good lead... until he'd done a bit more investigation.
