Wesley was researching. This probably wasn't a huge surprise. Something strange was afoot, so he could be found at the front desk, poring over a stack of books several feet high and copying potentially relevant passages over into his notes. It was the Watcher way, damnit.

Ender's eyebrows knotted together. "I can see that being an issue," he deadpanned. "Have you tried Tara's versions of your contacts?"

"I haven't," he admitted. "We discussed it, but while our universes seem to share certain characteristics, she doesn't know any of the people I know from home. Though it should be a relatively simple matter of finding a phone book."

'Cause they had those in 2000. Quaint.

You'd have to excuse him. Sometimes his 22nd century was showing.

Ender managed, through sheer force of will, not to shoot Wesley a funny look. "All right," he said, "Time to haul in the phone books."
