Geoff gives the metal hand a slightly worried look, but gamely shakes it anyway. "Of course, I'd forgotten you teach art. Well-rounded -- that's good!" He grins. "You realize, if you were to come on as my assistant, that you'd have to read the assigned books as well, right?"

I can read whatever you want me to, assuming it's not bound in skin and written in human bloood. Those kind of books are a definite no-no.

I know you probably have other candidates, though, so can I just say that I'm a personal friend of Arthur, this guy who may or may not have been King of England? I know him... not in the sick biblical way, but in the "he owes me big-time" sort of way.

You wouldn't have to understand all of the reading, necessarily. But...you'd be welcome to come to me to work through any difficulties.

You...know...King Arthur. That's...interesting. I'll keep it mind for when we read Le Morte d'Arthur in the poetry class. And right now? I have only one other candidate for the Lit class, and no one for the poetry class.

Poetry? I, uhh... I can do poetry too, if you like. I know a couple of funny limericks. *scratches his chin, not sure what he's getting himself into... or why*

"Can I get back to you at the end of the week, then? I want to give the students one more opportunity to sign up, in case some of them missed it the last time. And then once I talk to anyone who does express interest, I can let you know what I've decided."

He grins. "I really appreciate your offer, Ash. I hope you'll let me know if there's ever anything I can do to help you."
