Pinkie was wearing her costume from Monday. Possibly still. Because the only thing better than taking a class taught by a talking pink pony was taking a class taught by a talking pink pony dressed like a chicken.

"Hi everypony!" Oh dear, and she was more hyper than usual somehow, too. Someone had been gorging on Halloween treats all week. "Welcome back! It's so good to see you all! Are you excited? Are you? Are you? Are you?"

For the love of Pete, someone say they were excited.

"Well, today I'd like you to meet some very good friends of mine! Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, and Apple Bloom, the Cutie Mark Crusaders!" She stepped aside to reveal three little ponies, all about a third of the size of Pinkie, herself. There was an orange pegasus pony with bright pink hair, a white unicorn pony with pink and blue hair, and a yellow earth pony with red hair and a giant bow. "Except they're not really my friends because my friends have to be in their own school back in Ponyville but these little ponies are just like my friends back home! It's like magic!"

How the hell Pinkie learned to program the Danger Shop well enough to make duplicates of the Cutie Mark Crusaders was anybody's guess.

"Now, these little ponies are still only itty bitty teeny weeny little ponies, so they still need some looking after. So that's your job today! Good luck!" Pinkie grinned. "You're gonna neeeeeeeeed it!"

"No fighting!!" Scully tried to wade in and grasp a baby pony, and dodge kicks and head-butts at the same time. "C'mon, guys, please?"

As though by magic, the little ponies all stopped fighting the moment Scully said "please".

They peered up at her.

"Why?" they asked, in unison.

"Because someone could get hurt!" Also they were loud. "Okay... uh. Why don't we play a game? A nice game?"

They eyed her suspiciously. "What kind of game?"

"Um. Uh. Duck duck goose?" Scully suggested. Maybe the could get some of their energy out that way. "You've played that, right?"

"That game," said Scootaloo, "is for babies."

"Ohhhkay." Scully pinched the bridge of her nose. "A board game?" They had to have on here, right?

"I know!" said Apple Bloom. "Let's play freeze tag!" Three hooves came out to tap Scully in the shin. "You're it!"

And then the three ponies zipped off in three different directions.

Fantastic. She was chasing tiny ponies. Sigh.

Scully took off after Scootaloo, calling, "Gonna get you!"

"Nuh-uh!" cried Scootaloo. She made a flying -- somehow slow motion -- leap over Scully, then started circling the ceiling.

Fun with playing tag with a pegasus.

"Or not," Scully conceded. Apple Bloom at least was going to stay on the ground, right? "You're next!" she called, dashing toward the earth pony.

Well, yes. Unfortunately for Scully, she also operated under the laws of cartoon physics. She turned on a dime (literally, there was one on the floor just for such an occasion) and came barreling back at Scully, blowing steam from her nostrils like a bull.

"Aaaaah!"

Scully's arms windmilled as she tried to get out of the way, but it was futile. Tagging Apple Bloom in passing as she fell down was nearly impossible.

Apple Bloom would deny getting tagged either way.

"Can't catch me can't catch me can't catch me!" she howled, making another speedy circuit around the room.

By this time, Scully so didn't want to. "Maybe we could read a book?"

They were clearly not impressed with that option.

"Maybe you could read a book," scoffed Scootaloo from the ceiling.
