The Fifteen Labors of Fandom, Session 4, Period 1
Hercules gathered the class in a normal classroom today. Unlike previous classes, Hercules was wearing normal clothes, and sat at a desk that was covered in pamphlets. Once the class had all come together, he started handing out the various pamphlets, which turned out to be for all sorts of various charitable organizations.
"Welcome back, everyone. While I hand out these pamphlets, which aren't really related to the course, they're just informational for your benefit, I want you to think about what separates a hero or heroine from someone who just does great deeds."
"One of the things, in the opinion of this classic hero, is that they do things not just for their own good, but for the good of others, as well. While you might take some inspiration from themoddable pamphlets, I want you to work together this week. Come up with ideas as to how you can help out the betterment of life here on this little island. And if you really want to be a hero or heroine, you can actually go out and do those plans this week."
"If anyone wishes to know about the sort of things I have done, I will happily tell you. But for now, group up, discuss, and maybe even actually plan things to do. Think of what organizations on the island can help you do those things, or perhaps start a new organization for the purpose of doing what you think needs doing. Towards the end of class, I will want your groups to share with everyone your ideas."
Hercules grinned, and gave the class a thumbs-up. "I look forward to seeing what you come up with!"
[ooc:Please wait for OCD! Open class ready for open-ness!]
