The Club Fair, Gym, Friday Afternoon

Though he'd heard about something like it being in the works, the club fair wasn't what Simon had been looking for.

Regardless, it was what he found, just as it was being set up. He almost left straight away, to avoid being in anyone's way, but then his curiosity won out. So, he decided to stay and take a look at the club schedule.

Couldn't hurt, could it?

Toby (with a certain pair of purple-trimmed runners that Petra was sure to recognise on his feet) eventually made his way over to Petra's table. "Fellow student council member!" he greeted cheerfully.

"I usually do," Petra agreed. "Shoes are critical. Fabulous shoes are, much as it pains me to admit it, optional, but you gotta have shoes."

"Only till I could afford a new pair!" Or he broke down and stole his roommate's again. Because just asking to borrow someone's had not occurred to him.

"No," Toby grumbled. "I spent most of Saturday blacking out randomly." That would be more worrying if it hadn't happened on a weekend where people were getting married or their own evil twins or suddenly completely different looking or owning diamond mines or all of the above. "I came to in the hallway and poof, no shoes. Or... anything in my pockets, actually."

"You were mugged while you were unconscious?" Petra asked, horrified. "Who would--well, okay, everyone was crazy last weekend, I guess it could have been anybody." She thought for a second. "Do they have security cameras in the dorms?"
