Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Once people got through their introductions and initial brain breaking, some of them would surely want to sit down. Luckily, there were plenty of tables and chairs set up across the lawn, some in the shade, some out in the open, some close to the buffet, and some in as much of a shadowy corner as one could get in an outdoor space with no actual walls. It was all part of the Fandom experience, really.

"Yeah. It was tough, but Princess Celestia asked us all specifically to go out and learn about the world and teach what we know, and you just don't say no to Princess Celestia!"

"Well, I would imagine not! I mean, she's a princess, right?"

Wait.

"You know a princess!?"

"Uh huh! My friend Twilight Sparkle is her favorite student!"

"That's amazing!" Seriously! A princess!

"I know! I have the best friends in the entire world!"

"It certainly sounds like it!" Rapunzel agreed.

"I'm sure your friends are super awesome, too," Pinkie added. She didn't want to sound like she was just bragging away.

"Well, I know you, now!" Rapunzel didn't really want to admit that she didn't really, well, have a lot of friends. Any, really.

"You do!" Pinkie suspected that this maybe meant that Rapunzel didn't have any friends, which was just about the saddest thing ever. Good thing they were already at a party for meeting people, that meant Pinkie didn't have to throw one!

Though she possibly was tempted to do so, anyway. One could never have too many parties.

"And there are all these other ponies -- humans -- here for you to meet, too! You'll be swimming in friends in no time! Though I'm not sure why you'd want to go swimming in friends. They're not very liquidy."

Rapunzel giggled. "No," she agreed merrily. "They're not!"

"Maybe they'll go swimming with you, instead. That could be loads of fun!"

"Oh!" Rapunzel's eyes grew wide at the idea. "I've never been swimming!" But it sounded like so much fun! Especially with friends.

"Really?" Pinkie blinked at that. "Not ever ever?"

Rapunzel looked suddenly worried.

"That's not bad, is it?" They could still be friends if she'd never been swimming, right?

"Oh, no, of course not! It just means you have to learn how!"

"I can do that!" Rapunzel declared eagerly.

She just hoped that it wasn't too hard. She didn't want to disappoint her new friend.

"Yay! Ooo, maybe we can find a human friend who can teach you. You don't have hooves, so I'm not sure how it works for you."

"Oh! Do you think we could?" Then Rapunzel could meet even more nice people!

"I think this is the place to find out!"

Rapunzel looked around with a grin. "I think you might be right."

"I always say, there's no better place to make friends than at a party!"

That might even be true! Rapunzel wasn't entirely sure since she hadn't ever been to a party before.

"I'll take your word for it."

"You should! I'm the bestest pony at parties in the whole entire universe!"

"That I totally believe!" Who was Rapunzel to doubt the self-proclaimed pony party expert?
