Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II
Once people got through their introductions and initial brain breaking, some of them would surely want to sit down. Luckily, there were plenty of tables and chairs set up across the lawn, some in the shade, some out in the open, some close to the buffet, and some in as much of a shadowy corner as one could get in an outdoor space with no actual walls. It was all part of the Fandom experience, really.
[OCD is up! This is the FIRST post for general mingling. Please use this post first, if your browser can handle the comment load. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here and there's more room for mingling here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Re: General Mingling [Fall 2011]
"I suppose you might as well tell me now," he said wearily, since at least it gave him a reason to skirt around the question of what had happened in Panem.

"Yes, I'm sure that will be fine," he said, though he didn't look away from Katniss once the whole time he was speaking. What? He was worried about her! "I'll have to get back to you regarding what date will be amenable."
Because right now it was looking like the very, very, very distant future. Sorry, Kenzi.
Re: General Mingling [Fall 2011]
She'd be willing to track him down and drag him places, if it took him too long.... then again, she could try to teach herself! How hard could it be?
Re: General Mingling [Fall 2011]
"Girlfriend," he said finally, though the childish term felt odd in his mouth for some reason. Then, because it was Kenzi, he had to add, "Please don't go and bother her."

"I would say so," he replied softly, glancing over at her. "She recently suffered a loss."
More accurately, she'd suffered a ton of them.
Re: General Mingling [Fall 2011]
"Gotcha. That blows. Tell her I'm sorry." And no, Kenzi wouldn't be going over there to tease Wes's Girl about being Wes's Girl. Not yet, anyway. Plenty of time, now that she knew who it was. She patted Wes's shoulder as she got up. And didn't even swipe his wallet. "Get some sleep. You look like shit."
Re: General Mingling [Fall 2011]
And for... being civilized. He hadn't expected that from her, but there was real gratitude in his expression.
