Some parts of the East Coast might have been freaking out about a hurricane, but there was no such madness going on in Fandom. Sure, it was a little hot out, with the sun shining and not much breeze happening, but all the milk and toilet paper on the island was safe, and that was important, right? Besides, once the new folks started learning about their new home, there'd be more than enough freaking out to go around.

The usual main attraction had been set up first: a large buffet of food and drinks had been laid out next to all the information the new arrivals would need, and then the blue and gold tables and chairs had been arranged across the rest of the lawn. Everything was just about done when the shuttle arrived, and it was time for a picnic once again.

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here and here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Oh god, I thought it was all a horrible dream!" Hi, Jamie. How you doin'?

"Was it the one where Cable had Betty White's face and chicken feet?"

Not bad Wade! How's it hanging?

"...no, that's not horrible." God, Madrox. "Not by my standards, at least."

"Well, your standards are a little suspect," Jamie countered.

Don't make him bring up the Marvel girl outfit, Wade.

HE LOOKED FIERCE.

"Is this new? Because, if I've been retconned again, so help me..."

Just be glad you're not a DC character, Wade.

"Are you talking about the chicken feet, your standards or me as a teacher," Jamie asked, "Because I'm not Retconning anybody."

"My amazing standards. You being a teacher is just wrong on so many levels," Deadpool informed him. "Though... if you make Tony Stark cry, I'll forgive you."

"Done," Jamie agreed happily, "Is he still in town? I'll go to his office right now and start asking him about his tenure as head of SHIELD. Or I'll just steal his booze."

"It's a new one! He's, like, ten or something." 16, Deadpool. He was 16. "So, so tiny."

"Again? Don't tell me Onslaught showed up again and all the Avengers disappeared."

"...you know, I'd successfully repressed that until now."

"I repressed those pictures of you wearing the Marvel Girl outfit until just now. We're evem."

"I still have that!" DEAL WITH IT, JAMIE.

"Just promise you won't wear it to the school dances."

YOU DON'T HAVE THE LEGS FOR IT WADE!

"I can't promise that." But Nate would prooooobably say no. He'd get Madrox back somehow.

"I still have unpublished Playboy photos of Bea Arthur."

They were photoshopped.
