Pinkie greeted the students as they came in with the biggest broadest grin she could summon -- which, it being Pinkie, was pretty big and broad.

And maybe a touch creepy.

"Welcome back, everypony! I know last week wasn't really the bestest week ever for a lot of you, so I thought this week we'd all take our minds off our gloomy troubles and laugh them away! Just like my grandmare used to tell me!"

Yep. That was totally a song cue.

When I was a little filly and the sun was going dooooooown.
The darkness and the shadows they would always make me frooooooooown.
I'd hide under my pillow from what I thought I saw,
but Granny Pie said that wasn't the way to deal with fears at aaaaalllllll.
She said, Pinkie you gotta stand up tall, learn to face your fears,
you'll see that they can't hurt you just laugh to make them disappeeeeear.
HA HA HA
Sooooooo, giggle at the ghosty.
Guffaw at the grossly.
Crack up at the creepy.
Woof it up with the weepy.
Chortle at the cooky.
Snortle at the spooky.
And to tell that big ol' scary face to take a hike and leave you alone and if he thinks he's scary than he's got another thing coming and the very idea of such a thing just makes you wanna HAHHAHAAHAHA -- laaaauuuuuuugh!

After a pause for applause, Pinkie grinned at the students again. "Oh, I know it doesn't work all the time, but it's a great first step! And to get you all giggling today, we're going to play some of my very favoritest party games, and any games you want to play, too!"

An oldie but goodie, Pinkie would say. This is a poster of a tail-less pony. Put on a blindfold, spin around, and try to pin one of the fluffy paper tails in the right spot!

Rinoa was sure she was doing great at this game.

Of course, she stuck the tail right on the pony's forehead.

"I meant to do that," she announced. "It's like a horn. It's pretty that way."

There's a big washtub of water with apples floating in it. Try to grab one without using your hands!

But, hey, there aren't just boring old apples in that water. Pinkie's added a few ~~moddable~~ surprises, too! What are they? Well, if she told you, they wouldn't be surprises, would they?

Jack figured that apples couldn't be too bad, right? Right?

So he bobbed. And got an apple. As well as his hair wet. No big deal.

However when he took a victory bite of the apple... well something green and foul oozed out.

Jack gagged and spat and gagged again in his usual comical fashion.

"Oh, that is just... just wrong! Wrong!"

He made a face and gagged again.

"That's it. I'm done. Going off to get drunk now."

Juliet, always game, decided to try it.

She came up with a mouthful of sponge cake and a shocked look on her face.

"Shouldn't cupcakes fall apart in the water?"

Jason wasn't sure if he'd be any good at this, but he tried anyway. The good news was, he almost managed to catch something. The bad news was, it was scaly and squirmed away from his mouth before he could bite down. He didn't know what kind of fish it had been, but he sure wasn't going back in to find out.

Smash open the papermache teddy bears to win prizes! Like candy! And . . . probably more candy! Loads of ~~moddable~~ edible goodies are just waiting to come raining out!

It didn't take Lion-o that long to demolish a pinata. He was extremely motivated when there was candy involved.

Hey, hitting stuff was fun. Richie went with that. Plus pinatas ended with candy, right? Hard to go wrong there.

Maybe you like Blind Pony's Bluff! Or Pony Twister! Or Hide and Go Pony!

Or something that doesn't have "pony" forced awkwardly into the title at all!

Just don't complain about being gray. A large chunk of Pinkie's family is gray, and they've never had a problem with it.

Sure, her mom married a rock farmer and her sister quite possibly ended up playing a snooty double bass, but some ponies just like that sort of thing. It's not their fault.
