Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse - Wednesday
"Hey, everyone," Columbus said in greeting as class filed in. "Sounds like something stranger than usual is happening in town this week, so I'm going to start off class with a reminder of the most important rule of survival. Cardio. If you find yourself in a strange situation and could be hurt, run. Do not pass go. Do not collect two hundred dollars. Yes, I realize that there is a time for everyone to be a hero. However there are also times when your life is more important than saving the day."
Columbus leaned back against his desk and pointed at the class. "So I'm going to skip the usual being chased or killing zombies class exercise and I want you all to write an essay on how you will react and qualify a life and death situation. Will you run to fight another day or fight the good fight? Why? What factors would make the decision go in one direction instead of another. When you're done hand it in."
He paused for a moment before adding:
"And hey, let's be careful out there."
Okay, Columbus was a fan of Hill Street Blues. Don't judge.

Essay!
Re: Essay!
He made sure to mention he wasn't a fighter so the skateboard would be more shield than weapon and that it might have no effect at all. While Sam was writing all this, his back throbbed a bit since this situation really was just a vague version of what happened with Michael.
Re: Essay!
His essay very much reflected that. He wasn't afraid to talk about his failings at beating up monsters.

He sat for a while, looking at the blank paper in front of him. Life and Death situations? Didn't Grandpa Barry face down the biggest evil thing in the multiverse and keep running? He nodded in determination at the paper and picked up his pencil.
He wrote about what it meant to be a hero. That you fight even when the odds are against you. That you run faster and harder when you're up against a stronger enemy. He wrote about being the Flash, about working with a team and trusting in your friends and your abilities.
Maybe this time the paper wouldn't burst into flames from writing too fast.
Talk to Columbus!

On vacation so expect major SP if you want to speak to Columbus.

A+ if he kills a teal deer who wanders into his dorm room and turns into a monster. With a toilet seat tank cover.
Not that these things happen or anything.
