Creative Writing; Tuesday, First Period [ 07/26 ].
It was difficult for Shunsui not to be in a good mood today; today was one of his favourite writing exercises, and not just because he really wanted to know the answer to the great mystery that it addressed.
He let the kids get settled, passed around the coffee and hot chocolate, which continued to be a nice comfort with all the cold weather, and they might have noticed some music playing in the background.
"Welcome back, ducklings ♥," he said. "Last week, we talked about character, and, well, they were definitely...creative ♥." He was being very kind, Stan. "Now we're going to be moving on to things like plot and action and something to write a story about ♥. Sometimes, one writes a story to answer a question: what is they mystery of life ♥? What is love ♥? What is life, death, war, peace, etc, etc, etc ♥? So today, we're going to answer a very important question.
"Take a moment," he continued, "to listen to the song I've got playing ♥. This passionate ballad is sung by the rather...er, commanding presence of one Meat Loaf, in which he declares with dedication that he would do anything for love....but he won't do that ♥.
"So many writer find inspiration in music, and that is what we shall do today. Take a few moment, peruse through the lyrics, and consider ♥. Your writing assignment for the day is to answer that one question: what is that? The one thing someone wouldn't do for love, and why not? Weave it into a story today. Take some time to brainstorm and consider, and then spin your yarn, in whichever fashion you see fits it best, about what you, or your character, characters plural, Meat Loaf himself, won't do for love ♥.
"If there are no questions, I'll let you get started, and, as always, feel free to bounce ideas off each other as well ♥."
It made things less work for him.
