There was something written on the board when students arrived for class today.

villainous monologues

"Now, some of you all might have experience with this subject," Deadpool said. "Either giving or receiving. Possibly dirty."

He didn't judge your kinky ways! Much.

"You know how it is, their nefarious plan is mere seconds from completion and they have the plucky hero right where they want him. And they just wanna lord over 'em. It's slightly less expensive than therapy or comic book collecting. Which, as we all know, is only one step down from crack."

He held up a comic book. "Deadpool volume 2, issue 41 is available August 10th!"

Helpful.

"Enough shameless self promotion! Partner off," he demanded. "One of you will be the babbling villain and the other the helpless hero. And of you really want to get into character, try shouting a lot. It's the super cool thing to do! Just ask Doctor Doom. Though, with him, it could be an unfortunate speech impediment..."

Bart thought. "Um. Unless you want to do it."

He grinned. "My friends always glared at me whenever I tried this back home."

"I don't think I'd be a good villain," Angelica admitted. Emma would be so disappointed in her.

"And I promise I won't glare," she added. Laugh, maybe.

"Okay!" Bart grinned, then remembered that he was supposed to be a villain. He scowled and his voice got all gravelly. He slouched and growled, "fool, you know not what you have done. Your foolish heroics have caused you to fall into my trap. Your foolish brain cannot fathom the depths of my plan."

He looked at her and grinned. "Too much?" he whispered, as if not to break the illusion.

In real life Angelica knew she'd probably be terrified, but this was just in class. Still, she did her best to play along.

"Your-your plan?" she said, making her voice shake. "What are you going to do?"

Barts eyes gleamed. "I'm going to..."

Damn, he hadn't thought that part through.

"I'm going to feed you to the poisonous chimpanzee sharks! For then, you'll never be able to save your sidekick from his DOOM!"

Yeah, that would work.

Angelica tried very very hard not to giggle at that. "Oh, no!" she said, eyes wide, hands fluttering. "Anything but that! I'll find a way to stop you, I swear!"

Bart's eyes narrowed. "Your superheroics wont save you this time. My trap is inpene...inpre...." Words are hard. "fool-proof!"

He looked left and right around his imaginary lair. "Not even your silly League of Justice People can save you now! And anyways, they're busy fighting my army of... Mantis Men! They'll never be free of that in time to save you!"

Lightning, there needed to be lightning at the end of his sentences.

"Your army is defeated! Your Mantis Men have fallen!" Angelica said, growing bolder now. "The, uh, League of Justice People will be here any second now. You have been defeated. Surrender to me and your life will be spared."

She was trying to channel characters she'd seen in movies. It was easy, knowing it to be play.

Bart looked away dramatically, "no! It's not possible! You're lying!"

He looked back at her, teeth grinding. "I shall have to speed up my plans, then!" He clapped his hands twice, quickly. "Minions! Take this... hero to the chimpanzee shark tank!"
