Anakin, despite not having lived on a desert in several decades--and having a wife who was from New England--was still ~~a big baby~~ very sensitive when it came to cold. And he'd learned that as long as you were warm, it didn't really matter how silly you looked.

Perhaps someone had just told him that based on the headgear he was currently sporting, thanks to the island's bizarre weather, which was certainly...something.

Bundled up in his Jedi robes and trying not to look like he was completely freezing, he gestured to a rack of the sort of snowgear that mountain climbers wore. "Put that on," he commanded. "The cold on the other side of the causeway is not messing around, and those suits have been fitting with tracking devices in case you wonder off. I would really hope you all take the name of this workshop to heart today and try not to die."

After the students were suitably dressed, he handed them GPS units and gave very brief instructions on how to use them, then stepped back from the clue box. "See you at the rendevous point."

Mercy made her way over - far less out of breath than she had any right to be. "Done, sir."

"You're fourth today," Anakin informed her with a smile. "Head back across the causeway and warm up."

Firekeeper and Blind Seer had no such rants as they made their way to the check-in point. "Can we go back for the meat?" Firekeeper asked without preamble.

"Of course," Anakin said. "You can wait until after class if you'd like what the others don't want as well." He smiled. "It might be a long wait. You're the first to arrive today."

Which, given the tasks, didn't surprise him at all.

Cara looked far too pleased with herself when she she showed up at the bottom of the cliff hauling a good tonne of buffalo (that strangely looked a bit more like it'd been stabbed than run off the cliff) behind her.

"Good hunting," Anakin praised. "You're eleventh today. Planning for dinner?"

Wesley was neither panting nor doubled over when he reached the rendevous point, which was a first.

"Finished," he said softly, and left it at that. This had been surprisingly difficult, considering... well, considering.

Anakin quirked him a slightly sympathetic smile. "You're fifth today."

Luke was a lot more confident in how he'd done in class today than he had been last week. He attributed that to having plenty of experience of fending for himself when he lived on the streets. "How'd I do?"

"Second," Anakin informed him with a grin. "Well done."

Really, the only part Sam had excelled at here was chasing the mammoth off the cliff. It'd taken her another eternity to get down it.

She wasn't real big on going up or down big tall things. Hanging off a sky scraper with your best friend from a window washer's platform would do that to you.

The result? A tiny blonde girl bundled up to resemble the Michelin Man waving a spear taller than herself over her head as she approached her teacher, yelling incoherently.

And dragging a hunk of mammoth behind her. What? Free meat!

Anakin looked amused. "Big cookout tonight?"

Hopefully at least she wasn't last. But she was sulky, crossing her arms and saying, "The mammoth thing was mean."

"There's not exactly a 7-11 on every corner here," Anakin replied. "You're 17th today."

Scully was towards the middle of the pack again, and frowning. With a mammoth tusk in hand. "I'm going to preserve the DNA for science. Since there's a great deal we can learn about the species since we now have samples."

"Just don't breed a live one in the lab without permission," Anakin replied. "You're seventh today."

Marshall grinned at Anakin as he came up. "That was kinda fun!"

Someone was from Canada. This wasn't an ice age, this was just winter!

"I'm glad you thought so," Anakin said. "You're sixth."

Lion-o was out of breath by the time he reached Anakin. "Please tell me I did better than last week," he said.

"You're fourteenth, so yes," Anakin said with a smile.

Seifer made his way over to Anakin with a grin. "If this is how classes are going to go from now on, I may have to bring my sword."

Which was what he planned to do today, go get Hyperion and come back to get food.

Anakin grinned back. "It depends where the island sends us," he said. "You're 12th today. Take some meat back with you today if you'd like. There's plenty."

Seeing how few animals were around after driving his mammoth off the cliff, Bruce took a few minutes to get a new wooly cape to keep himself warm. It smelled like the dickens, but it was effective.

He approached Anakin, spear in hand, mammoth cloak draped over his shoulders, and asked, "How'd I place today?"

"Nice cape," Anakin noted. "You're third today."
