Library [7/8]

Today's library shift found Wesley shelving books for the morning, and then reading what was possibly the most disturbing book ever for the afternoon: a text on demon reproduction. Cordelia had brought it up to him last night, so he was dutifully reading and taking notes with a faint look of revulsion on his face.

Anyone who stopped by the library today would be more than welcome.

"Passable?" Wesley guessed. It wasn't something he'd ever really had a reason to study, but he knew a bit about it from studying the workings of certain rituals. "I'm no expert, certainly, but I know a bit."

"Well, I'm going through some experiments I did at my last school," Marshall explained, "and I can't find my notes on our chirality project. We studied carvone -- although if know of any other major chiral substances that are distinguishable by odour...?"

Oh, yeah, Wesley was no help there.

"I've no idea," he admitted, half-smiling a bit. "Sorry."

"S'okay!" Marshall smiled back. "It's pretty specific stuff. I'll go check the section back there -- right past oceanography, you said?"

"Precisely," Wesley said. Unless someone had shelved things incorrectly, but he doubted it. "If I remember correctly, there are quite a few comprehensive texts there that would be of interest."

Because that had been very subtle, Wesley. Really.
