Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

In order to give people a place to get away from the traffic jam of the buffet and information tables, most of the chairs and tables for guests were set up further out on the lawn, under a tall blue and gold tent. There was plenty of room for everyone to sit down and enjoy themselves, but it might not have all been dry. Did we mention being grateful that it was just water falling from the sky?

Ariel could only meet that look with a lopsided grin. "Oh," she said, with one of those knowing sort of nod, "of course. What else could I have meant?"

And she was try her hardest not to spoil her seriousness with a giggle, which involved a very sobering clearing of her throat. Sobering for about five seconds.

Kenzi smirked back at her, and reached out to poke the other girl in the arm. She even gave her real name. "Kenzi. Junior. Aspiring entrepreneur. So what's the worst thing about this place, hmm?" Let her get the tall tales out of the way already, right?

"Ariel," she offered, poking the other girl back with a grin. "And the worst? I don't actually know if there is a worst..."

And she meant that. Maybe it was just the energy of the welcome picnic, but she really didn't think she could come up with any worst things off the top of her head right now.

"Enh. It's better than I expected already. Food, and it doesn't look like boot camp," Kenzi philosophized. "The castle's trippy, though."

"Oh, it's nice," Ariel enthused with a please sigh, casting her eyes toward the building. "But, then again, I'm used to castles, so maybe that has something to do with it."
