Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

In order to give people a place to get away from the traffic jam of the buffet and information tables, most of the chairs and tables for guests were set up further out on the lawn, under a tall blue and gold tent. There was plenty of room for everyone to sit down and enjoy themselves, but it might not have all been dry. Did we mention being grateful that it was just water falling from the sky?

Considering that a couple people have already singled him out, he was feeling a bit freakier than everyone else. "I've heard this place would be weirder than my last private school. The gremlin on the brochure probably should have given something away."

"Yeah, as mascots go it's a bit out there," Toby said. "And uh, also kind of literally out there. Don't let them bite," he advised.

"I think they live in the ventilation or something," Toby explained.

"So they can just get into my room at night and bite me?" he asked. "You'd think the school would have called someone to take care of that."

"Well, to be entirely fair, their bites are not deadly or anything. Just embarassing, if what I've heard from radio is anything to go by."

"How are they embarrassing?" Cassel asked. "Do they give you a weird rash or something?"

"It's some sort of... hallucinogen, I think? They make you think you're someone else," which was different from the times when you actually were someone else, "and it seems like a lot of the time there's singing involved."
