Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

In order to give people a place to get away from the traffic jam of the buffet and information tables, most of the chairs and tables for guests were set up further out on the lawn, under a tall blue and gold tent. There was plenty of room for everyone to sit down and enjoy themselves, but it might not have all been dry. Did we mention being grateful that it was just water falling from the sky?

[OCD is up! This is the FIRST post for general mingling. Please use this post first, if your browser can handle the comment load. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here and there's more room for mingling here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Ramona hadn't bothered to take off her hood once she was dry and inside the tent, because Ramona wasn't interested in looking particularly friendly (when was she ever?) She lingered at the edges with a drink, watching the new kids quietly and mentally making notes.

Hood or no, with that hair Ramona was the closest to Pinkie's "normal" that she'd seen all day. And, well, she really wasn't keen on the whole "anti-social" concept.

"Hi!" she said. "I'm Pinkie Pie, what's your name?"

Ramona stared from the...pony to her cup for a moment, then discreetly reached out to pour the cup out onto the grass. Because clearly, she had been drugged, and she was just going to have to roll with it for now.

"Ramona," she said carefully. "Are you for real?"

"What else would I be?" Pinkie asked cheerfully.

"A figment of my imagination," she replied easily.

"Well," said Pinkie. "I'd be very flattered if you wanted to imagine me, but I'm from Ponyville, not your imagination. Do you imagine ponies a lot? Are they pretty? Do they like to dance?"

"I don't, but if I did, I bet they'd dance."

Seriously, probably best to just go with it.

"Oh good! Some ponies only want to stand around and talk, and that's not nearly as much fun. That's what this party needs," she decided. "Some good dancing music!"

"I think we're cool without dancing right now," Ramona offered. "We have...you know, dances for that."

"I guess," Pinkie said thoughtfully. "It can be hard to meet new people if there's too much loud music."
