BWI - Portalocity Lounge [Saturday Morning]
It had taken two and a half pep talks from her father to get Miley to be at least sociable today, the last half of which she was currently reading over text messages because her father couldn't figure out how to send messages that were greater than the character limit. Still, "sociable" was a far cry from her normal bubbly self. But she still had to be nice and talk to people, and she would, even if that talking to people was occasionally interrupted by texts from Lilly. (Hey, she had to read those! They could be important!)
She took a seat under the "Fandom High" banner in the airport lounge, with her three glittery pink suitcases and matching cosmetics bag all laid out on the floor in front of her. There. She could do this. If she could maintain a double life for four full years, she could survive boarding school. And maybe tonight, the president would call her back and manage to get her back into Seaview somehow!
...Hey, a girl could dream.

Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
Whoa there, Miley, slow down.
"And I'm from California. Well -- originally I'm from Tennessee, but I've lived in LA for a while so that's where I came from."
Aaaaand breathe.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
This girl was going to be missing earrings. Possibly boots if she didn't pay attention. Which, hey, she might not, with that speed-talking, man. "Tennessee, that's... yeah, I have no idea. Different country. L.A. I've heard of, though. That's pretty cool."
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
Or maybe she was going to lose her earrings. It was true that she wasn't paying a whole lot of attention.
"What's it like in Canada?"
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
Hmm. If she leaned forward to just look at the earrings, could she swipe them, for practice? "Nice jewelry."
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"Thanks!" Miley chirped. "They're actually from my best friend Lilly. We traded earrings, 'cause she had to move to Atlanta and I came here, so they're to remember her by."
She tilted her head and gave Kenzi a once-over. "I really like your necklace, too," she added.

Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"That's so sweet," Miley said sincerely. "My last boyfriend gave me this," she said, holding up her wrist to reveal a Tiffany's charm bracelet. "We weren't actually dating at the time -- it was really complicated. But, yeah. Good memories." She smiled.
Oh, god. Kenzi was going to have a field day with her.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"Complicated. I've got a few of those," Kenzi sighed in remembrance. Mostly mock. But hey, there were a few guys she wouldn't punch if she saw them again. That charm bracelet would be so, so awesome... on the other hand, missed real fast, and again, just mean... hm. Idea to save for later if she needed it.
Plus there was always practice.
"So, what did you hear about this Fandom place? I got zippo."
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"Well," she said, shifting a little to get more comfortable, "the presi-- uh, I mean, the president of my school's honor society says it comes highly reccomended.
Nice save there.
"But weird," she added. "I heard it's weird."
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"Weird, how?" Kenzi said, wary. "Are we going to have to meditate or some crap like that?" That's what her pretend parents might have signed her up for. What she really wanted to ask was, Is it like boot camp?!

Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"I'm a senior," Miley said, and she tried not to sound gloat-y the way she and Lilly had gloated (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wjgwy8EhySs) the other day when they went to pick up their Seaview schedules.
"And, uh..." She flipped open her phone and went through her messages until she found the one from her dad confirming the classes she was taking. "Got it. How To Avoid Misadventure, Cupcake War Crimes, and... gym." Bleh.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
Kenzi made a face, then was immediately distracted. "Cupcake War Crimes? Are they torturing the frosting? Putting it on trial?" Which actually sounded like fun. "Confess, or we eat you, muahahahaha...."
Gym! SUCK. How did she forget the hell of gym?
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
A shudder.
"My brother Jackson covers his food with ketchup," she explained. "Not pretty."
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
At least until we get more canon, in which case this become another lie."Ton of cousins, though. And misadventure? Who talks like that?"Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"No one," Miley decided. "I mean, what does that even mean? Like, adventure gone bad? Because sister, I have been there and done that."
It was true. Misadventure was kind of the result of every scheme she'd ever concocted. And she concocted a lot of schemes.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"That's weird," Miley said curiously, taking the earrings. "How could they both fall out?" Ugh. She was going to be having a stern talk with Lilly about giving her broken earrings. "Thanks," she added, slipping them into her cosmetics bag.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
She wasn't even kidding.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"...Thanks, I guess," said Miley, though she wasn't sure she was grateful for that at all. If anything, she would just call Roxy to come and take care of it. From hundreds of miles away.
...You know what, maybe she should get a bodyguard here in Maryland.
"Have a nice nap!"
