Creative Writing; Thursday, Third Period [ 06/16 ].

"Hello, my little ducklings ♥," Shunsui was already seated and comfortable when the students came in as usual this week, with the usual drinks and a few manilla folders in front of him. "Come, have a seat and take your drink and let us begin ♥. Today's topic, for the most part, is inspiration ♥. Inspiration can come from anywhere, and we all have different things that inspire us. I, for example, find most of my inspiration in beautiful women and very good sake ♥. Others might find inspiration in a sunset or a stormy night ♥. The possibilities, really, are quite endless ♥. What inspires you, personally, to create, to write, to take the life you see around you and somehow transform that into beautiful prose ♥?"

"Let us embrace our inspirations and discuss them today, and then I will have a little inspiration exercise for us to pursue and perhaps get some wonderful writing out of our awaiting pens ♥."

There isn't a whole lot of lecture, so the floor is open to plenty of discussion. What inspires you? What fills you with so much passion to create that you just want to burst unless you get it on the page? Or, conversely, what doesn't inspire you, not one bit?

"And as I promised ♥," said Shunsui, when the discussion had died down and he started to pick up the folders scattered in front of him, "I have a little activity for us ♥."

He started to pass out the folders, one for each student. "Inside these folders, you'll find a variety of photographs ♥. I would like you choose one to use as your inspiration ♥. Spend the rest of class getting something started, and come back next week with a piece based on that photo to share ♥. Each folder is very different, and so who knows what you'll come up with ♥."

Please pick one of the folders for your characters, but it's first come, first serve, so if someone has already picked one, be a good sport and pick another. Your options:

Karla opened her folder and was delighted to see underwater pictures for her to leaf through. Oooh, was that a little coral man? And sharks! Awww, and dolphins!

Elle looked through her folder eagerly. Weather, eee!

She especially liked the lightning. Gee, we wonder why.

Of course he's there should anyone need him for anything!
