Surf's Up, Wednesday, Period 3

For today's class, Summer had set up the Danger Shop to mirror the coast of Australia. Next to Hawaii, it was her favorite spot to surf.

"I wanted to apologize for handwavily canceling class last week. I had a family emergency but everything's okay now." Sometimes, things happened. "Today, I thought we'd try our hand at the Australian surf. Some of the biggest waves sought by surfers are found in Australia, which is why I thought it'd be fun to try them out."

Summer smiled. "I thought I'd share a surfing trick with you that you can try out in the water. It's known as a floater," she added and continued on to explain how the trick worked.

"Feel free to try that out or any other moves you might've wanted to try before now. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Have fun!"

Percy idly listened to the how to's of doing a floater without breaking your neck. Most of him wanted to be out on the water though so his attention was wandering.

Percy figured he could explore beaches later. Right now, he was grabbing a board and hitting the water. He still wasn't an expert but being able to control the waves and the water around did make him look good, at least.

There was a lot of splashing down into the water while Richie tried this new move out, but at least it was fun.
