There was something going on today and Bod wasn't sure what it was but he knew he didn't like it. He'd managed to get out of Kate's room without being bitten and killed but he was shaken up and a little panicked about things. He hoped she was the worst he saw this weekend and he hoped that anything bad kept themselves out of the library.

Bod had a lot of hopes.

He was around, keeping a sharp eye on the door and ready to run if needed.

Anna wasn't looking for the library or anything; she was just exploring the school and spotted what seemed to be a familiar face.

"Atwood?" she said, puzzled but pleased. "Check you out, with the books. What's up?"

It would be nice if his answer to "what's up" included information on where they were, but Anna wasn't feeling fussy just then.

Bod glanced up at the voice but since he didn't know the name, found himself not answering for a few moments. When he realized she was addressing him, Bod paused.

"Atwood?" he replied, shaking his head. "I think you might have me confused for someone else."

There was the brief impulse that Ryan was joking, he had to be joking, but -- it was Ryan. A sense of humor wasn't really his thing, as far as Anna had ever been able to tell.

Besides, the accent was different. Even if Ryan was going to try for a lame joke, he wouldn't do it in a British accent.

"Yeah, wow, I must," Anna said, shaking her head. "You don't have a twin in Newport Beach, do you? You look just like this guy I used to hang out with."

"I only have a sister but she's passed," Bod said slowly. She didn't seem like she was going to attack him so at least he wouldn't end up running from her. "I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name. You are...?"

"Right, it's Anna," Anna finished. "What's yours?"

She was assuming it wasn't not-Ryan.

"And, um, I'm sorry about your sister."

"My name's Nobody," Bod provided, nodding. "And thank you. It was quite awhile ago and I was just a baby when it happened. It's a pleasure, Anna. I haven't ever looked like anyone else before."

"He's not a bad guy to look like," Anna decided. "You're pretty calm about it I'd feel weird, knowing somebody else was walking around looking like me.."

"It happens here quite often," Bod explained, shrugging. "This island's a bit of a weird place in that people show up who look like each other quite often. I'm used to things out of the ordinary happening. Are you...a new student?"

Anna shook her head. "No. I mean, I don't know exactly what I am. I ... kind of just woke up in some girl's bedroom. I've talked to a couple other people who had the same thing happen. Like we fell through a wormhole or something."

"Have you tried leaving?" Bod wondered. "Perhaps you just ended up in one of our portals by accident."

Anna shook her head. "So far, I was grooving on exploring," she explained. "Maybe I'll trip into another portal when it's time to go home. Why not, right?"

It was an insane idea, but she was geeky enough to go with it.

"Is that how you found your way here?" Bod asked, transferring some books from cart to counter. "You were exploring and ended up in the library? That's a good bit of exploring."

"It didn't seem like that far from the dorms to here and it's a nice day," Anna shrugged. "I felt weird staying in the dorm room when it's not my stuff, you know? Like I was invading somebody's privacy."

"That's quite understandable, yes," Bod agreed, nodding. "Can I interest you in any books since you're here?"

A thoughtful smile darted across Anna's face. "That would be a really good idea" she decided. "Show me where the graphic novels are and I'll be out of your hair for the afternoon."

"Graphic novels, graphic novels," Bod said, glancing around the library. "Just go a few rows back that way and take a right. You should find them at the end of the stacks there."

"Thank you," Anna said delicately, heading off in the indicated direction. "It was very nice to meet you, Nobody."
