Advanced Astrophysics (and Arts & Crafts), Friday, 3rd Period - 6/3

Today, there was a neat little pile of newspapers, a bucket of paste, and a wide assortment of balloons for the students. There was also a nice assortment of tissue paper for decorating in yellows, oranges and shades of white. Which might give a hint as to what they were supposed to be doing during class. Maybe. Just maybe.

As soon as everyone arrived, Reed handed out the instructions to the 'crafts' portion of class. "Hello again, everyone! While you work on your pinatas today, we're going to watch a movie that illustrates supernovas," he said, starting said movie.

And then tilted his head at it.

"This isn't the movie I picked," he assured the class quickly, going through the files on his computer to find the right one.

It... could take a while. Technical difficulties!

No matter what the movie was going to end up being, Butters was happy. There was a pinata to make! He was thinking of all the possibilities and decided he was going to make his in the shape of a rocket ship. And then he could fill it with Red Hots and orange starbursts and anything else that might look like fire from the jets. It seemed pretty fitting, that.

Marshall had all the things for his pinata in front of him.

That didn't mean he was actually making one. His attention went between the movie and the letter he was drafting for his parents about how he was really homesick and miserable and could he please go back to Blake Holsey now?

Sorry, everyone. You're great and all, but his real friends are back there.

Bobby was profoundly disappointed. Two classes today and both had movies? He was going to have to make up lost learning time over the weekend.

At the rate he was going, Jim was going to end up turning himself into the pinata.

Because he couldn't stop staring at the movie. Couldn't. Stop.

That so wasn't how it worked.
