Included in the packets are:
Your child's/ward's/whatever relationship you have with this person's Class Schedule
A Map of the School and Town
A Schedule of Events for Parents Weekend
The rules and regulations of Parents Weekend
A Coupon Book

At the desk is a sign saying:
Please sign in here for Parents Weekend

And depending who is looking at the sign it will magically say:
To ensure everyone's safety, please surrender any Firearms/Weaponry/Magical doodads that will cause harm to our students.

Your property will be returned to you before you leave.

Thank you!

ETA: Parents/Guardians are now required to check in on their own.
((OOC: In other words... If your parents are somewhat "normal" and unarmed they will not see the message. Unless they are packing some kind of weapon, and then they will be see it. Got it?))

Kara glows under the fatherly affection. "Things are good, sir. I got a letter from the CPL. They're going to send a scout down."

"Thank you, sir," Kara responds, beaming under the praise. "Unfortunately, I can't be both a hotshot pilot and a superstar pyramid player."

Adama nods but doesn't stop smiling. "Well, we'll always have a spot for you if the career doesn't work out." He leans closer to her and lowers his voice. "I get tickets to the first game, don't I?"

"I wouldn't let you miss it, sir!" Kara ducks her head for a moment then looks back up. "Have you talked to Lee since you got here?"

Adama scowls at the mention of his absent son. "I've talked to his voicemail several times. Is he ill? Or is he doing something he shouldn't be doing?"

"I doubt it, and he was fine when I left him in bed this morning," Kara replies. "He's probably just being... Lee."

"How has he been? He doesn't write, he doesn't call. And, honestly, after seeing this town, I'm concerned for his safety." Adama waves off his irritation. "But, now that you're here, I guess I can deal with not seeing Lee for a while."

Kara cringes internally. She hates being a wall between Lee and his father. "Lee's fine. He's been working on his War College application."

Adama grumbles under his breath. "Good to hear he's applying himself at least." Adama offers Kara his arm. "Shall we tour the room? Walk and talk?"
