Included in the packets are:
Your child's/ward's/whatever relationship you have with this person's Class Schedule
A Map of the School and Town
A Schedule of Events for Parents Weekend
The rules and regulations of Parents Weekend
A Coupon Book

At the desk is a sign saying:
Please sign in here for Parents Weekend

And depending who is looking at the sign it will magically say:
To ensure everyone's safety, please surrender any Firearms/Weaponry/Magical doodads that will cause harm to our students.

Your property will be returned to you before you leave.

Thank you!

ETA: Parents/Guardians are now required to check in on their own.
((OOC: In other words... If your parents are somewhat "normal" and unarmed they will not see the message. Unless they are packing some kind of weapon, and then they will be see it. Got it?))

"We're neighbors," she says. "I live in the dorm room next door to his, so we see each other a lot. You've got a great son." She smiles over at John. "The poor guy's become my regular source for Girl Scout cookies."

John nods and considers this new information. He's heard a lot about Aeryn and not a lot about Janet. He's beginning to wonder why. "So, he's your neighbor and he buys you Girl Scout cookies? I'm surprised you haven't married him yet," Jack says with a laugh.

Janet grins and shrugs. "Well, you know, a girl doesn't have a chance with Aeryn around, and since she and I are rooming together--." She takes a sip of her punch. "Besides, I'm awfully busy now with the new peer moderator group, and John, Sam, and I have just started our Independent Study with the math professor."

"There's just too much to do to plan a wedding right now!" She laughs.

"You and Aeryn are roommates?" John rubs his chin thoughtfully. "Does that work out okay? And John's doing a math independent study?" Jack practically beams. "He didn't tell me that. You sound like a very intelligent, very busy young lady, Janet."

He lowers his voice. "I would help plan this wedding, of course."

"Oh, Aeryn's great," says Janet. "Though she and I don't talk too much. Our schedules don't sync up. The math independent study should be exciting too, though it's based in physics, which is more John's area of expertise than mine." She grins and takes another drink of her punch. "I'm hoping he's got a book or two that will help me catch up."

Somewhere, in the back of Jack's mind, he's making copious notes. "I'm glad to hear John has found a kindred spirit in yourself. Keep him on track for me."

"I think we should just let our kids enjoy being kids, don't you, Jack?" Hammond said with a forced laugh. He placed emphasis on his use of Mr. Crichton's first name. "They've still got their whole lives ahead of them right now."

"Oh, I agree, Mr. Hammond. I do want my son to concentrate on his studies so I'm happy to see someone with Janet's intelligence and excitement making friends with him."

The general catches movement in his peripheral vision and turns. He spots Teal'c entering, accompanied by Jack. He smiles genially at Mr. Crichton. "It's been a pleasure meeting you, Mr. Crichton, but if you'll excuse me, I see Jack's brother just got here and I should say hello."
