Rover, Martin Blank and Alanna Trebond sit at the registration table with information packets

Included in the packets are:
Your child's/ward's/whatever relationship you have with this person's Class Schedule
A Map of the School and Town
A Schedule of Events for Parents Weekend
The rules and regulations of Parents Weekend
A Coupon Book

At the desk is a sign saying:
Please sign in here for Parents Weekend

And depending who is looking at the sign it will magically say:
To ensure everyone's safety, please surrender any Firearms/Weaponry/Magical doodads that will cause harm to our students.

Your property will be returned to you before you leave.

ETA: Parents/Guardians are now required to check in on their own.
((OOC: In other words... If your parents are somewhat "normal" and unarmed they will not see the message. Unless they are packing some kind of weapon, and then they will be see it. Got it?))

Daria smiled, well, she smiled for Daria.

"So what's on the agenda Quinn? Do we meet your teachers? Visit your friends? See your room?"

"Teachers are tomorrow, I think. And my friends are out of town. They ran away when they heard you were coming."

"Quinn, I think we've had this conversation, you don't have to make up lies in order to feel better about yourself. You can tell me that you haven't made any friends after all We're Sisters!" Daria says the last part very loudly, making sure everyone near by has heard.

Quinn looks around to see if anyone heard that. "Don't mind her," she tells someone passing by. "She's just an escaped mental patient. She'll be back in her jacket in no time."

"So I'm pretty certain you wouldn't be acting this nice to me if you didn't want something. What did you do, who did you lie to and most importantly, how much cash do you have on you?"

"Did you ever think that maybe I don't need anything from you? That maybe I'm just fine and didn't do anything wrong?" Quinn asks.

continuing her statement for her Daria adds "And that you're just being nice because you missed me terribly and hope we'll never be parted again?" she asks

Quinn gives her a Look. "Absence makes the heart grow fodder and blah blah blah?"

"Fonder, and I might believe that, if you'd been stuck on a desert island for over a year, but I hardly think this counts.

Quinn lowers her voice. "Twenty bucks to keep Mom and Dad off my case about friends or boyfriends," she says.

"Forty and I never mention that time you wore white after labor day"

"Thirty, and that rule went out the window a year ago."

"Fine, and is there a book or something somewhere?

Any particular topics/places for us to avoid? Keeping in mind we're already at the school and not talking about you period is unfortunately out the window."

"No book. Sorry.

Topics? Um. Homecoming. Extracirriculars. How I'm doing in classes. Pretty much everything," she says with a half-hearted giggle.

"So for thiry bucks I'm supposed to come up with some way for mom and dad to become hysterically mute? Please tell me you've done something we can talk about around here.

"I'm not sucking in my classes, okay? And I outfitted like half of the school for homecoming," Quinn says, and proudly adds, "And I got a job. I start next week."

"Great, I'm sure I can spin that," Daria rolls her eyes, "we aren't going to run into twenty or so boys around here who are still waiting to be called back for a second date right?"

Quinn pauses, and takes a deep breath. "No."

Daria waits for the rest of that statement, she knows there's more. She can wait.

Quinn shrugs. "You wanted more?"

Pause.

"I was going to go out with this musician guy but I had a clothing emergency and I called Mom about it and so I canceled the date and told him to reschedule but he never did and then he dropped out of school or something. And then I was so busy working on making everyone else fashionable for homecoming that I forgot to get a date and there weren't any left, and I had to be set up, Daria! Me! And my date showed up and then I lost him and spent the entire time talking to people I didn't know. By myself."

Daria didn't feel bad for her, she didn't. Going to one dance with a set up date and then having him abandon her wasn't the end of the world and so Daria didn't really care. Except that was a lie.

"I'll tell mom and dad you're steady boyfriend is visiting his parents this weekend, because they're to sick to travel or something," Daria caves shaking her head at herself.

Quinn could hug her. Except that would be weird and wrong and that's not going to happen.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you," she says.

Daria shrugs

"So, anything besides a dating drought to repeort?" she asks and equilibrium is restored. Snark and snipes, none of this touching heart to heart stuff

"Nope, not a thing," Quinn says quickly. "Look, can we not do this here? We almost had a moment in public."

Yeah, let's find mom and Dad so I can start enjoying the deluxe accomidations of my private room. Apparently I get to use the mini-bar.
