Rover, Martin Blank and Alanna Trebond sit at the registration table with information packets

Included in the packets are:
Your child's/ward's/whatever relationship you have with this person's Class Schedule
A Map of the School and Town
A Schedule of Events for Parents Weekend
The rules and regulations of Parents Weekend
A Coupon Book

At the desk is a sign saying:
Please sign in here for Parents Weekend

And depending who is looking at the sign it will magically say:
To ensure everyone's safety, please surrender any Firearms/Weaponry/Magical doodads that will cause harm to our students.

Your property will be returned to you before you leave.

Thank you!

ETA: Parents/Guardians are now required to check in on their own.
((OOC: In other words... If your parents are somewhat "normal" and unarmed they will not see the message. Unless they are packing some kind of weapon, and then they will be see it. Got it?))

Sam walked up and waited until Jack had stepped back from Hammond. She smiled and hugged him. "Hello, Uncle George. It's good to see you."

Oh no. Jack will maim the first person to make a kissing cousins joke.

Janet bites her tongue and smirks.

Obviously, Sam's just using the title as a gesture of affection, since she's known Jack and Sam so long.

Jack hopes Carter doesn't use the "C" word, he might not be able to deal with everyone thinking they were related.

Janet is completely positive that everyone will assume that Sam would call the General 'Uncle George' as she's known Janet since ~~the first alien virus~~ forever.

Janet will kill anyone who implies otherwise.

Jack can't read minds (right now anyway) but if he could he would be eternally greatfull to Doc right now.

Janet grins at Jack. Like he couldn't get all that nonverbally after having ~~known her for so long~~ practically grown up int he same house as her.

Hammond returned the hug as best he could, though reserved, then smiled down at her. "Good to see you to, Sam," he replied.

Sam smiled. "Are you sure you're ready for this?"

"No," the general replied with a laugh, "but I never did have sense enough to run from a challenge."

Janet laughed, all her nervousness evaporating.

"Run from a challenge? You like to face them head on and engines blazing."

"Who doesn't in our family?" asked Janet. "Like you haven't learned that by now?"

Marty hears the Uncle comment again.

"What? Wait... You Jack and Janet are all related?"

Sam laughs and shakes her head. "No, Marty. I've just known Janet and Jack forever, and I've known their Uncle George almost as long. So much so that he feels like my relative sometimes."

"It helps that your dad and I have known each other for a few years," Hammond answers with a slight grin. It still amazes him how small a world the military can be.

Jack heaves a small sigh of relief.

[OOC: Maybe I should just sit back and watch Marty's head explode. ::cackles:: ]
