Rover, Martin Blank and Alanna Trebond sit at the registration table with information packets

Included in the packets are:
Your child's/ward's/whatever relationship you have with this person's Class Schedule
A Map of the School and Town
A Schedule of Events for Parents Weekend
The rules and regulations of Parents Weekend
A Coupon Book

At the desk is a sign saying:
Please sign in here for Parents Weekend

And depending who is looking at the sign it will magically say:
To ensure everyone's safety, please surrender any Firearms/Weaponry/Magical doodads that will cause harm to our students.

Your property will be returned to you before you leave.

ETA: Parents/Guardians are now required to check in on their own.
((OOC: In other words... If your parents are somewhat "normal" and unarmed they will not see the message. Unless they are packing some kind of weapon, and then they will be see it. Got it?))

At the sound of the bike, her eyes snap open. "Logan!" she says with a smile. She rushes up to him. "Didn't think you'd make it."

"I told you I'd be here, kid."

Giving him a petulent smile, she puts her hands on her hips. "I'm not a kid anymore, Logan." She can only hold the pose for a moment before throwing her arms around his neck.

Logan's mouth twitches into something that might be construed as a smile as he loosely drapes one arm around Marie.

"What do I gotta do to check in, kid?" he asks, ignoring her protests about not being a kid anymore.

Rogue rolls her eyes and elbows him softly at the kid comment. "I dunno. First parent's weekend for me too." She inclines her head toward Marty. "He's the man."

"Ah... Mr. Logan. Here's your information packet. Welcome to Fandom."

The weapons sign says: "Please refrain from using your class while visiting. Rover will be watching."

Logan takes the packet from the dorky looking kid.

He takes another drag on his cigar before noticing the weapons sign.

He grabs Marie's arm. "What the hell is that?" he asks, pointing at the sign.

"We have a no-weapons policy on campus," she explains, looking up at him. "For the safety of the students. A lot of kids come from places where they need 'em." She smiles. "You'll be fine."

He scowls.

"How did they know about my claws?" he asks in a low voice, leaning close enough that his breath probably tickles Marie's ear.

Rogue loses her train of thought for a split second, but recovers quickly. "I didn't tell 'em," she murmurs back. "They've got all kinds of magic and such here. And the Dean seems to have his sources about nearly everything." She shrugs. "It's not a big deal here, you know. There's a lot stranger people 'round here than mutants."

She gives him a half-smile. "You hungry?"

"Sure, kid. Where's a good place to eat?"

"Anywhere but the cafeteria," Rogue says with a smirk. She let's the kid comment go--this time. She pauses for a second, wondering if she'd be okay in Deb's. Deciding not to chance it with Logan here, she says, "I think Luke's Diner is open. I've heard it's good."

*wanders past toward the refreshment table* *gives Logan a long look in passing*

Logan notices the stunning red head and completely misses whatever Marie said.

Rogue sighs, annoyed. 'And I thought this would be different, why, exactly?' she thinks to herself. Out loud, she says "Hey, Logan! ~~I'm over here!~~" Her voice is louder than necessary.

Logan looks at her.

"What?" he asks, taking another puff on his cigar.

Rogue rolls her eyes. "I asked if you wanted to go to Luke's diner for dinner."

"Luke's? Who's Luke?" A very faint growl can be heard. "You didn't tell me you had a boyfriend here."

Rogue blinks. "I don't, I don't have a boyfriend," she says, sounding vaguely confused. "Luke's Diner is a, well, a diner. You know, a place where they serve food? The guy that owns it is named Luke."

She smirks a little, and decides to bait him. "And why would it be any of your business if I had a boyfriend here?"

"You're too young for a boyfriend, Marie," he says with a scowl.

"Where's this diner? And do they serve a good steak?"

Rogue makes a very indignant sound. "Logan, do you even know how old I am? 'Cause I'm legal in about 40 of the fifty states, including this one, and most foreign countries." She rolls her eyes.

"I don't know if they have good steak, I've never been there. But everyone says it's good."

"You're 17, Marie. Not an adult yet. And you're still in school. You need to focus on your studies, not on some guy who just wants to get in your pants."

His knuckles feel itchy and he doesn't want to get Marie in trouble by unleashing the claws, so he changes the subject.

"All right, Luke's is fine. Wanna take the bike?"

Rogue rolls her eyes. "Whatever."

At the mention of the bike, she grins. "I'd love to take the bike. Let's go."

*gives him a charming, almost shy smile*
