BWI Portalocity Terminal [Saturday Morning]

Emma had flown with Angelica from Logan Airport in Boston to Baltimore so she wouldn't have to make the entire trip alone, and Angelica was grateful for that. But after a hug goodbye when the time came for Emma's flight back to Massachusetts, Angelica was alone in the lounge, waiting for the bus to Fandom High. She buried her face in a book and tried not to be too nervous about changing schools, counting out the positives. She might make new friends. Empath and Roulette wouldn't be there. She might accidentally fry someone with her microwave powers.

Oooookay, that last one wasn't too positive.

Actually, he'd said he hadn't come by commercial air, but popping from one place to another god-style was kind of like a portal?

"I didn't actually get to live there very long," Alex admitted. "When I was little we lived in New Jersey, and then for a while--uh. Well. It was complicated. But while I did get to live in New York it was really cool! I had ringside seats to all the giant monsters and stuff."

It was the first time Jocelyn had ever felt like a mundane, and she really hated the feeling. "I haven't heard anything about warlocks and mundanes violating the Accords," she said carefully. And why did some kid know more about this than she did?

Alex had a subscription to his official comic book, of course.

She had to laugh at that. "More like a thousand years ago, but we have the Institutes - there's one in New York even. Downtown by the Park."

"If you're doing magic in New York you'll definitely meet Doctor Strange sooner or later." Probably, from what Alex could tell, when he had to bail you out of your own stupidity.
