BWI Portalocity Terminal [Saturday Morning]

Emma had flown with Angelica from Logan Airport in Boston to Baltimore so she wouldn't have to make the entire trip alone, and Angelica was grateful for that. But after a hug goodbye when the time came for Emma's flight back to Massachusetts, Angelica was alone in the lounge, waiting for the bus to Fandom High. She buried her face in a book and tried not to be too nervous about changing schools, counting out the positives. She might make new friends. Empath and Roulette wouldn't be there. She might accidentally fry someone with her microwave powers.

Oooookay, that last one wasn't too positive.

At least this time Simon didn't jump. And nothing had been thrown at him. Progress. Still, he gave the other boy a somewhat surprised look. "N-no, thank you?"

That had not been meant as a question. Nervous kid was, indeed, nervous.

"Was that a question?" Marshall asked, trying to smile non-threateningly. (And relatively succeeding; Marshall wasn't exactly a threatening kinda guy.) "I mean, no pressure, but you sounded like I could maybe convince you."

"Do they have tea?" Simon ventured. Apparently feeling all English all of a sudden. It was probably being surrounded by things that weren't. "I could... have some tea."

"I think Starbucks tries to lay claim to every known hot drink on the planet," Marshall suggested, "so I bet they can manage tea. Any particular kind?"

"Just Earl Grey," Simon replied with a quick nod, adjusting his collar even though it was perfect to begin with. "Thank you."

"Sure!" Marshall jotted it down. And, okay, Marshall hadn't planned on buying everyone's drinks, but nervous guy kinda brought it out in him. "I'll be back with it soon."

And Simon was probably going to at least attempt paying for his tea once he came back, anyway. "I'll be... here," he replied, with a slightly embarrassed hint of a smile.
