Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2011, Saturday Early Evening - Part One!
The ceremony was once again held at sunset for the benefit of the graduates’ less diurnal guests, but the lawn was well-lit with twinkling blue and gold lights draped across bleachers, stage, surrounding trees and specially-assembled trellises, giving the overall effect of a peaceful fairy grove. (Not, say, Las Vegas. Tasteful twinkling lights.)
The staff having taken note of every previous graduation including the most recent, the lights had been purchased from Acme Decorations Studio with a money-back No Coming To Life And Terrorizing Your Party Guests Guarantee... and there was a rather large cache of weapons stashed in a trunk behind the podium. The chance that it would rain toys that could later be used for self-defense was slightly less than the chance that there would be a need for self-defense.
No one could say Fandom High wasn’t a learning experience.

Re: The Procession!
Dinah might be wearing leather pants, just this once.
Re: The Procession!
Enough said--at least, if Dinah remembered Jason's short stint here at Fandom.

Re: The Procession!
A song that Karla was still trying to figure out. There was no female ever mentioned in the whole thing!
Re: The Procession!
Dinah snickered and said, "So? Plan! Avoid the Jasons of the world, flash the Roys, and kiss the Warrens!"
Re: The Procession!
Besides, she wasn't going to flash Roy her tits. They were tiny little bee-stings. He might laugh.
"I definitely like that last plan," Karla said, craning around to look for her erstwhile boyfriend in the crowd. "Speaking of, where's your boyfriend? Has he met Roy yet?"
And been traumatized by space Vikings?
Oh, wait, that was later.
Re: The Procession!
"He's holding my spot, and no, he hasn't yet. Although that should be a trip." Or, you know, another exercise is hmph'ing big brother types.
...yeah, that would be a frozen Metroplis guy looking shell-shocked at the end of the ceremony.
Re: The Procession!
"So, when're you going to tell him about the madness?" Karla asked. "Do I get to airwalk my way over to him?"

"Drinks and ice cream. Dinner of champions," Karla said, heading back to her seat to watch the rest of the ceremony. "Let me know when you're ready and I'll show up for brain-breaking!"
While cackling, no doubt.
