Being a Proper Sea Dog, Friday, Period 3
Class in the Danger Shop? Check.
Simulation of a pirate vessel? Check.
Captain Hook wearing a new, purple coat with an even more ridiculous captain's hat? Check and check.
"As you all are aware, I was quite the hero this past weekend," he said, unabashedly. "Of course, this would normally call for celebration but we already covered cake last week, and I hardly expect any of you to eat any cake I provide now." He laughed. "No, today we will talk about the most important skill you can have, as a pirate. Swimming. While some may fly through the air powered by happy thoughts and fairy dust, we as real, down-to-earth types must learn that the water must be treaded if we wish not to drown. So today... well, unless you absolutely, positively cannot swim, you're going to walk the plank, splash into the water, and tread the water rest of the class. It will build character, not to mention muscles. And no, you may not change into your swimming clothes first. If you were to actually walk a plank, as I'm sure some of you would in a just and good world, you would not be given that option."
He gestured over to a series of buckets of paint and brushes.
"For those of you who cannot swim, instead you will get to enjoy manual labor of repainting all surfaces of the ship a nice royal purple. And please refrain from throwing the virtual paint at one another. If you find yourself struggling during the water treading, just cry out and I'll throw you a life preserver and have you hauled back onto the deck. A prize for whoever lasts the longest, eh? Now get to it, get to it, that's good boys and girls..."
And so the class began.

Re: Walk the Plank // Swim
He didn't so much as walk as he ran down the plank and jumped in the water. Werewolf stamina was a many splendoured thing.
Re: Walk the Plank // Swim
"...Excuse me, lad. Are you someone in disguise?"
He was a wee bit confused at the strange face.
Re: Walk the Plank // Swim
"Nope!"
That was helpful.
Re: Walk the Plank // Swim
"...Why are you here?"
Re: Walk the Plank // Swim
Thank you, player.Re: Walk the Plank // Swim
"You're a friend of Hank's, aren't you?" he said, a grave insult.
Re: Walk the Plank // Swim
Re: Walk the Plank // Swim
"Your name isn't Peter, is it?"
Re: Walk the Plank // Swim
Re: Walk the Plank // Swim
"Please refrain from crashing my class in the future. Or else... cake."
That was a very odd threat, but he wasn't allowed to make real ones.
