Library [03, 27]
//Okay.// Jono stepped into the library, casting a look around at the books that dared them to give him the runaround the same way they had last week.
The books just sat there.
//This is going to be a productive day, blast it,// he announced, crossing his arms over his chest and narrowing his eyes at the return slot.
The books continued to sit there.
//Which means, when I shelve you, you'll bloody well stay where I put you. Is that understood?//
Something down one of the aisles sneezed.
//Good.//
And that was that.

Mod your library
Re: Mod your library
Before he even got to the time travel section, a book on a shelf caught his eye. It was if the library were trying to say to him "Oh, you wanted the book you need? I had thought you wanted useless stuff on time travel, instead!"
This book was a history of some other universe, similar to his own. It was a first-person account of a world where a Sorceress had cast Time Compression, written by a member of the fellowship of adventurers who had traveled halfway across the world to find her and destroy her before the spell could complete.
It still didn't help with the MAIN problem -- getting to the future -- because the hero was in the same time as the Sorceress. However, it DID imply that if the worst happened and Ultimecia did manage to cast Time Compression, they'd still have some time to defeat her before the world ended. And the book ended triumphantly, with the spell undoing itself and everything going back to the way it had been, so that was at lease comforting.
