Ethics [Thursday, March 24, 2011, 1st period]
His conversations with Raven and Katniss on Tuesday and his worry over Leia factored heavily into the topic Anakin chose for today. "In the New Testament, one of the religious texts of this planet, love is described as patient and kind, beyond such things as holding grudges," Anakin began.
"In my version of the Jedi Order, we were taught that in order to maintain the proper distance necessary to negotiate impartially across our galaxy, we were to strive for serenity, not passion. To be Jedi, we should not know anger, or hatred, or love. When we were very small children, we were raised in the Temple so that family loyalty or planetary allegiance would not get in the way of following the will of the Force."
He crossed his arms over his chest, the wedding ring on his left hand gleaming under the light, and glanced around the room. "Would you have been able to hold to their rules? Can you stop someone from acting out their feelings? What do you think the Masters of my Order were trying to prevent?"

Answer the discussion questions [3/24]
Re: Answer the discussion questions [3/24]
"It's stupid," she said, far less tactfully than she might have in a better mood. "They want -- you to know about love but then they tell you you can't have any and they raise you without it. How's that supposed to work? They're trying to keep you from being stupid about your feelings but it just means you're not going to know how to deal with feelings when they happen."

Or possibly he had just blocked the possibility of Yoda having thoughts of love out of his mind forever. Which was also extremely healthy.

In other news, water had been known to be wet.

broodingthought on the matter.Obedience and doing what is best for the whole to ensure survival is what we should strive for. I have been taught that the will of the Genetic Council supercede's my own despite my standing amongst my people. I would like to believe that I would follow their decision for my bride in the future, but unless it is Medusalith, I do not believe I would obey.
Re: Answer the discussion questions [3/24]
And that had ended very, very well. Really.

Ahem.
She is the only one I do not need to write to speak to.

Though Councils in his experience tended to be moronic.
Re: Answer the discussion questions [3/24]
I am unsure what they will decide. Love does not always factor into decisions for future rulers.
Because they might end up with an insane kid who was just like his brother! Waaaait a minute...

Because that was always for the best in Marvel. Really.
