"No, thankfully I have heard nothing from them," Raven said, shaking her head as well. "I did learn that they harassed Karla and Sookie and Bobby, and Professor Skywalker, of course. Fortunately they were unable to harm any of you." Though watching Jono struggle was something she didn't ever care to repeat.

"Professor Skywalker is looking further into the nature of the Seven Deadly Sins to see what he may learn," she added. "I attempted to do some research of my own, but I chose an unfortunate movie to view that did not help much."

//... You didn't choose th'film I think you must've chosen, did you?//

There were really only so many options out there, when it came to movies about the Seven Deadly Sins, after all.

//Oh, Raven.// He gave her a light squeeze before pulling back a little. He'd look almost amused, if it wasn't for the fact that the situation was so serious. //I'm going to need to have a long talking-to with you about how we don't ever, ever trust Hollywood, aren't I?//

Raven nodded solemnly. "I did not research the movie enough before I decided to watch it," she said. "It was very distressing. I would prefer to be with you if I am to watch movies of that nature."

She sighed and frowned slightly. "I know it is only Hollywood, but it did give me some insight into just what my brothers might be capable of, if only for their own amusement." She'd never do to anyone what had been done to the victim of Pride, however. At least she hoped so. But even without meeting Gluttony, Greed, and Sloth, she had little doubt they could commit those atrocities.

//Well, what they attempted last weekend was a fairly good demonstration all on its own,// Jono replied, his tone dropping low as he remembered how difficult it had been for him to keep from reacting as violently as he could have, as he remembered how tempted he had been to take that half-demon outside and do to him what he'd done to Adel.

And then Envy, walking away, reminding Jonothon all over again just how much of himself wasn't even there.

//Books might be a safer bet, luv, if you want slightly more reliable information. I mean, Fandom's library is,// he reached out and grabbed an encyclopedia by the spine as it attempted to sneak away, //usually fairly cooperative, in that regard.//

"I could feel what they were doing," Raven said softly. "I would not allow them to succeed, but I am sorry that they attempted to manipulate you as they did." Totally her fault, of course. Mmm, guilt.

"I did hope to find some books while I was here," she said, idly running a finger over the spines of the books lining a nearby shelf. "Though that of course is not the primary reason for my visit."

//Of course.//

It was Sunday. Jono was a fixture in here on Sundays, and he would have been disappointed if Raven hadn't stopped by for a visit, really. Though she generally had the chance to make up for skipped Sundays on Mondays, too. Really, one of these weeks, he was going to stop by her place of employment, just to surprise her.

... And maybe to see how much she would flail as he looked around.

//You know... we haven't done anything, lately. I mean... relaxing.// Unless you counted his moment of being a terrible boy and coercing her into watching something that he had known would scare the heck out of her. //For us. We should remedy that.//

The flailing would be epic. And her blushing would be visible from orbit.

"I would like that," she said with a soft smile. That smile grew more mischievous, though tempered with just a bit of shyness because she wasn't entirely sure how to go about this. "And...I have a surprise for you."

A surprise? Oh, now she'd managed to get Jono's interest piqued.

//Is that so? And I suppose yer gonner tell me if I ask about it, it'll only ruin th'surprise, right?//

Well, yes, Jono. Finding out about it was generally what made it less surprising.

"Of course I cannot tell you," Raven said, unable to stop herself from blushing now.

She smiled and ducked her head. "You will have to wait and see."

//I suppose I will, then,// Jono agreed, leaning forward a little as he reached for one of her hands.

And then, because he was a terrible person and simply couldn't resist?

//Yer bloody adorable when yer embarrassed, you know that, Sunshine?//

That just made her cheeks even more pink, which he knew would happen. So mean, Jono, so mean.

She took his hand but looked up to give him a pouty look. "And you enjoy making me so, do you not?" she accused, though not without affection.

//Only in harmless fun,// Jono decided, giving her hand a light squeeze. //I could stop, if you'd prefer.//

But where would the fun be? He'd have to wait at least three minutes longer into any conversation just to get to see her blush.

"I do not mind," Raven said. That sort of embarrassment was not as distressing as the thought of being wrong or humiliated -- those injuries to her pride were more difficult to handle.

"But I find myself sometimes wishing I could somehow make you feel as flustered," she added teasingly.

//Mmm, you'll have a difficult time of it with me,// Jono replied with a chuckle. //I can't imagine there's much that I haven't already thought of, really.//

It was entirely possible that Jono was giving himself entirely too much credit.

"Perhaps I will have to see it as a challenge," Raven mused. She doubted the handcuffs would embarrass him -- she was going to be the one blushing her way through that.

"When do you wish to do something together?" she said, shifting the subject just slightly. "My time is very free." Rumor Gal was in reruns, after all.

Jono tilted his head thoughtfully, mulling over his oh-so-busy schedule.

//Tuesday, perhaps? In the evening? I can pick you up, and we can find someplace interesting to be.//

It wasn't as if they didn't have options, really.

//Th'cinema, or maybe something on th'mainland...//

"After work?" Raven said. "Yes, that would be fine. Do you know what the movie theater will be showing that evening?" Hopefully not a horror movie, because she'd hit her limit for the month.

"My surprise requires...privacy," she felt it important to add. Which probably meant either requesting the room from George or Ariel, which made Raven feel a touch guilty, or getting a hotel room, on island or off.

//I haven't a clue,// Jono replied, furrowing his brow a little. The cinema here seemed to be in an almost constant state of rotation. Actually figuring out what was playing next was anybody's best guess, wasn't it?

Knowing his luck, it would be that Justin Bieber thing.

//I wonder if there are any good concerts anywhere on th'mainland,// he ventured. Taking off somewhere seemed conducive to privacy. A hotel room, perhaps? George was generally fairly resigned to sexile, but he'd feel guilty chasing her out of the room again, too.

"I would very much enjoy hearing some of the music you like," Raven said, liking this idea. "If you would like to look for a concert, then perhaps I can find a hotel room for us to stay the night, since those type of things get out late, do they not?"

Also, reserving a room on the web would allow her to get a look at what the beds and their headboards were like. Not that that was important. Ahem.

"We do have class first thing Wednesday morning," she said, "but since I can teleport us, it is not a concern getting back in time. That also means we are not restricted to just across the causeway for a concert, either." Portals could do much the same, of course, but this way they weren't bound to any schedules other than the concert and class.

Oh, Raven. You were such a wicked temptress.

//They do tend to get out late,// Jono agreed, as something not unlike a smile made its way into his eyes. //We certainly wouldn't want to wake George or Ariel by stumbling in at all hours of th'night, would we?//

He tilted his head thoughtfully, and then nodded toward the desk. The computer had internet. He was not exactly a technological genius, but he had, at least, managed to figure out how in the world Google worked, over the time he'd spent here.

//Shall we?//

Music would be far less traumatizing than another horror movie. Unless it was Justin Bieber, of course.

"Yes," she said happily, moving toward the desk. "What type of music do you intend to look for?"

//Anything that's playing,// Jonothon decided, so very helpfully. //Rock, if I can find any. Grunge isn't terribly likely in this decade. Not on a Tuesday night. Really, our best bet for any sort of musical entertainment is to look into no-name gigs playing at pubs somewhere.//

He stepped up to the desk and crouched over the keyboard, hunt-and-peck typing to see if he could crack the magical Google code. Or whatever.

//Really, I can do without Lady Gaga, Sarah McLachlan, and Taylor Swift.// All of whom had concerts on Tuesday night. Thank you, Google. //Really, most groups I enjoy stopped touring a while back...//

He glanced her way.

//Unless you didn't mind seeing a show that happened in, say, 1996?//

It would involve going to his reality, sure, but looking up past concert dates for bands that he'd liked back in the 90s seemed to be far more effective than doing a blanket search on Google for anything that wasn't Gaga or Bieber.

Hey, Raven liked Sarah McLachlan. Except when the commercials came on about the animal shelters and then she'd wibble and cry.

"I can easily travel between dimensions," Raven said, standing behind him and resting her chin on his shoulder. "Especially with you to use as an anchor to go to the correct place. I would not mind going to your world, if that is what you mean."

It might make reserving a hotel room a little more tricky, but she'd deal with that later.

Well, really, it was just a matter of calling any hotel she looked at, and asking if they'd replaced their beds in the last fifteen years. Easy, right?

Riiight.

//That's what I mean,// Jono agreed. //We'll avoid New York, I think. I'm in no mood to have my evening ruined by whatever archvillain Spider-Man or th'Fantastic Four are squaring off against that night. But...//

More hunt-and-peck typing. Something that the both of them could enjoy. That should be easy enough. Maybe a little quieter than his usual, for Raven's sake, but otherwise...

//Matchbox 20 is just getting their start, around then,// he mused. //And Bush should be doing well for themselves. Maybe Silverchair...//

Or they could just sidestep that by teleporting back to this dimension after the concert. Probably easier that way. Teleportation was so useful.

"Whichever one has the most emotion in their songs," Raven said to help the decision. "And will inspire the same in those listening. I do not think I am familiar with any of those you have mentioned, but I trust your judgment."
