Teamwork 101 - Period 1 [Class #9] [Monday]
This week, Reno had seemingly recovered from whatever pet-induced trauma he had suffered the week before. By his side was a short, badly-dressed blonde girl.
“Hiya!” she chirped. “I’m Rikku. I teach Science here at the school. I’m also gonna be helping Reno out with class. Pleased ta meetcha.”
Reno looked pretty damn pleased. His girl helping out with class? Hell yes.
“This week, we’re gonna start doin’ things a little different, yo,” Reno said, grinning around the room as he leaned back against his desk. “Rikku and I got a plan to get you guys doin’ some important shit for, you know... people.”
Reno was awesome at communicating, shut up.
“We’re gonna break you off into three groups, yo. Your mission, whether you choose to accept it or not, is to pick a charity, an’ start brainstormin’ on ways to fundraise so that you can donate to ‘em, yo.”
“It’ll be fun,” Rikku bounced. “And it’s gonna help people, and that’s never bad, you know? And we’ll have some ideas on common fundraisers and so on next week, I mean, you don’t have to have the money by tomorrow or anything. This week, you’re getting into your groups, deciding on a charity, and talking out some ideas on what you might want to do. We’ve got some pamphlets from some charities here. If you all disagree, then you’ll need to be better at persuasion than the other members of your group. Or you’d better all learn how to compromise!”
Rikku was now going to start passing out the pamphlets. Because she liked pamphlets, and she had grabbed entirely too many, anyway.
“Let us know at the beginning of next class what kinda charity you guys went an’ settled on,” Reno said, smirking a little. “You’ll be pickin’ your fundraiser next week, but if you got ideas for that now, you’re welcome to throw your ideas around. Now, get to it, yo.”
