Study Hall -- Thursday, October 27th

As usual, Sarah sits in front of the room -- however, she's now taken to watching everybody who comes into the room with an unusually close eye and scribbling down something in her notebook in an ominous way.

In honor of the upcoming Halloween holiday, there's a small cauldron full of candy on her desk, and the puppies lie in a basket next to the desk all wearing little orange bows around their necks.

Anders comes in after shop class, two fresh cups of coffee in hand, and immediately puts his head down on the desk.

Wordlessly, he offers Anders several packages of sugar.

Anders smiles weakly, rips open the sugar packets, and pours them directly into his mouth.

"Nice shoes. Kawalsky?"

"Now that," Bridge says solemnly, "was a sugar-related emergency. And yeah- he got me a book on making robots too."

Anders nods in fervent agreement. "I better start carrying my own, or you're gonna end up in a Sugar Packet Deficiency Emergency yourself. Wonder who else got stuff from Kawalsky? I found a baseball glove outside my door this morning."

"Judging from the amount of packages I saw waiting outside people's rooms when I left this morning? Lots."

John waves at Bridge. "Hey dude, nice shoes."

*notices the shoes and laughs*

Pretty snazzy, dude, but I wouldn't try wearin' 'em on the Moon if I were you. *grins*

"No, probably not," Bridge agrees, "especially since the only time I've been to the moon, it's been for a training session, and it's hard to fight properly in these things," he wiggles his feet.

John frowns. "Man, I've gotta build this thing too. I hope I don't break it. I suck at puzzles."

John nods, agreeing. "I know. I'm gonna make a mess of my room with this thing. And then get addicted and end up building a little town around the ship. And then get some mechanically inclined to build me an engine, put it in the thing, and shoot it up into the sky."

At the mention of 'mechanically inclined', Bridge bounces up in his seat, hand in the air.

Of course, since he is wearing moon shoes he ends up bouncing out of his seat and on to the floor.

Mechanically inclined, huh? *offers his hand* Duo Maxwell, at your service! I don't believe we've met, but us mechanical types gotta stick together!

"Bridge Carson," he thinks for a moment, "you're the guy who built the robot bunny, right?"

*grins a bit sheepishly and scratches his head*

Uh, yeah, that was me. *laughs* I was workin' on gettin' all those, er, kinks out, but I got distracted by fixin' up my Gundam. He didn't uh, borrow somethin' from you, did he?

Anders chuckles quietly. "Thinking RIC could use a friend?"

John's actually beginning to think these two might be able construct a small engine for his erector ship rocket.

"Hey guys. Once I build this thing, you think you could build some kind of engine for it? Something that wouldn't melt the blocks but would let it fly?"

*grins* Sure man. Whatever you want it to do. How far you want it to go? I'm assumin' you don't want it fit for space travel, but rather somethin' with a remote, yeah?

"Building it's half the fun, though!" Bridge says enthusiastically.

John laughs. "Well, you like building stuff. I do too. I just get frustrated easily. And I hate stepping on these things when I leave them around my room. They hurt the feet!"

*grins at the shoes' dubious bouncing nature* Fight? I dunno how you even walk in those things!

The only time I've been to the moon was to see the inside of a jail cell after I got the crap beaten out of me, so who knows? Maybe they are useful on the surface! *laughs*
